A beautiful experience no matter what your beliefs
This was a very nice experience. We were there early so it wasn’t crowded at all. The setting is about as serene as it gets. The guide did a great job of explaining the different deities and ceremony. The waterfalls and carvings are stunning. I wish I would have known to wear water shoes because you go through the ceremony barefoot and walking on the rocks was extremely painful for me at some points. So much so that it made the experience almost in unenjoyable at some points.

Well worth a visit! Beautiful and spiritual experience
A beautiful and well kept site. The hosts were so lovely and friendly. It was an organised experience, with a guide escorting us through the falls and explaining all the carvings and deities. We received sarongs to wear over swimmers and changed in clean, maintained change rooms and placed our things in lockers with keys. They guide (Rusman) kept the keys for us and took photos of our experience. we walked bare-foot over rocks and stones that could get a bit spikey. If you have mobility issues, this may not be a good option for you. It was a fantastic experience, finished with a refreshing fresh juice afterwards.

Very expensive for a few photos
First the major con…very expensive to enter for simple visit. 200,000idr, twice what it says online, that’s $13US each person, I almost turned around. Most other attractions in Bali are 30,000 to 75,000idr, trying to make up for the Covid loses. Otherwise, very nice photos and the obligatory instagram shot.

    Amazing experience
This isn’t just a waterfall for everyone to visit it’s a sacred Balinese temple. You have to pay to go down to the waterfall and you have a guide who takes you through explaining all the different gods. You spend your time presenting offerings to each god and learning about them as well as having blessings. It was an incredible experience and the waterfall and caves were incredible. All the guides love playing photographer and we got some awesome shots. Don’t go here to just look at a waterfall lf you are not open to the spiritual journey they take you on. It took about an hour and is one of the best things I have done in Bali. Be prepared to get wet as you enter the waterfalls to scream out your negative energy. It cost $30 but was worth every cent.

    Very spiritual
We came to this place on recommendation and we loved it! We did the purification for 300k IRP and this is unbelievable fair. The scenery with the waterfalls and the caves is amazing and the place has strong spiritual power. It’s not crowded and the guides take a lot of time for everyone. They also don’t do any push for further money spendings.

    Out of this world experience!
This had to be the highlight of our trip! OMG! The melakut experience was AMAZING! There are not enough words to describe just how beautiful this sacred space is. Our guide, Leo, gave us a wonderful insight to the beauty of the religion and culture to be honest, if there is a waterfall to visit, this is the only one you will need to go see and experience.

    Amazing!!
This is a must do if you’re coming to Bali. It’s absolutely stunning!! We did the purification and for 2 of us it was £30. This included a welcome drink, towel, sarong, free photos and a coconut. From start to finish it was amazing and our English guide was really good at explaining everything as we went along. The photos came out so beautiful and will definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of coming to Bali.

    Unique experience
I did the simple purification. The area was beautiful. You are escorted all the time and you are guided about the process. The escort was kind enough to make pictures/ videos of me with my phone. She kept my phone in her bag because sometimes you passed through waterfall. Very unique experience although touristic. There are changing rooms and toilets. They provide sarong and towel as well as safe box. It takes around an hour. Expect to get totally wet.

    Out of body experience!
One of my must-do activity in Bali is the Melukat and I was choosing between this and Tirta Empul and I'm glad I chose this place. We arrived at around 9am so the place wasn't crowded as I expected it to be. I did the purification ritual which is 300000 rupiah but there is an additional charge if you'll bring camera and price depends on the kind of camera you'll use but you can opt to just bring your cellphone which is free. You are given 1 hr to finish the whole ritual and the guide will instruct you on what to do every step of the way. They will also mention the name of the gods and do some photos with the best angles. I just hope our guide was a bit friendlier but it seems he just mentions everything in a monotonous tone but he does take great pictures. Highlight of my trip are the waterfalls which is the main reason why Beji Griya won my heart. It felt spritual and mystical as if the falls washed away everything. According to our driver, he does melukat at other places because it is much cheaper but I think it is worth it

Breji Griya waterfall was worth it. The cost of entrance is much higher than other waterfalls but it’s one of the only waterfalls that have anazing statues carved into the mountain, so I think it’s worth it if you want to take pictures and experience this place. The restaurant was lovely as well and very cheap food but delicious.

Cost of entrance which includes tea or coffee after is 10,000
If you want a cleansing ceremony include tea or coffee it’s 20,000, but be prepared to spend more time there

I just went with the simple package and it was well worth it as you could spend as much time as you want, there were only a hand ful of tourists so we basically had so much time to take photos and walk around

Would definitely recommend to add this to places to visit

We were asked to pay 300,000 IDR (~US$20) per person as an entrance fees. This is too surprising and doesn't seem to be worth at all. And important to note is that this fees allows you to a certain level only you cannot do the prayer and cannot enter some caves etc. for that the fees is IDR 600,000 (~US$40).
Will suggest to visit the Tegnungan water fall (IDR20,000- ~US$1.25), you can easily enjoy 2-3 hours. Tegnungan Waterfall can be covered when you are traveling from UBUD to Kuta or vice-versa.

Be mindful that after you pay your 10,000 idr parking, walk an admittedly well designed path towards the waterfall you must then pay a Minimum of 30000 for the " purification". The prices rise from here to include, various rituals tarot readings, and chakra realignment (amongst others). It was explained that this waterfall was for praying not for looking.
We were welcomed to shop, have coffee ect, but not to go to the waterfall unless we participated in and paid for the spiritual events.

Absolutely loved this place!💚 It's so scenic and BEAUTIFUL! There's series of waterfalls, cave (you get wet walking through it😁) , ponds....but the most impressive part are the stone Carvings!! So coool!😱
This is a sacred place as well full of Balinese shrines and offerings. We booked the full package that included Water blessing, young coconut blessing and even shouting to the waterfall to get rid off all the negativity! So much fun ❤️

Nothing to do with Balinese healing.. it's a money making foreigner run place. If you want a natural healing place there is heaps more to go to. Avoid this place please. Even if you bring your own sarong, coconut and offerings they still charge you for their hire. They charge you to breathe.. Makes no sense.

This isn't far from Ubud town, nor is it overrun with tourists, unlike Tegenungan Waterfall.

However.....for the steep entrance fee of IDR100K (which includes a simple free drink) you can be in and out in under 20 minutes. Visitors who are not doing the full purification rite can only walk down some steps, look at the falls, then walk out again. There is nowhere to swim.

There are nice stone carvings in the rocks of the waterfall, BUT these are NOT of ancient origin - they are of recent vintage, when this place was first opened commercially to the public.

I can't comment on whether the purification rite offered is worth it, but purely for casual vistors, there are better waterfalls in north Bali and even some just east / south-east of Ubud.

Please note, that I write this review from a standpoint that one should not have to pay to see a natural waterfall. I visited this spot unaware that it was such a tourist attraction. Tourists (unknowingly) participate in cultural appropriation as locals quickly wrap a sarong around you, eager to collect the 200k entrance fee. Sadly 200k is where the costs start. If you want to experience any thing more than the waterfall the cost start to rocket. Make sure you have your wallet with you if you are willing to be fleeced in the hope of spiritual cleansing.

Probably one of the best Waterfalls in Bali and places to look around.

Surrounded by village rice fields. rock tunnels, stone work and natural caves

The whole area and gardens are beautiful

Lovely village as you arrive and tea and snacks available afterwards with discount

We arrived around 930-10 before the crowds..so highly recommended not only to enjoy without being crowded but to beat the traffic
Cost is 100.000 rupiah, around 10 Australian dollars which support and help the village maintain and bring in an income.
