Was extremely impressed with the farm shop itself but we didn't know where we was going in regards to the farm. It's a very open place and if you've never been before its hard to navigate to see the animals as you don't know where they are. I was hoping there might have been some small animals for our little... More

Stopped off for a bite to eat during our travels, lovely food, attentive staff. The shop part is wonderful you can by from fresh foods to toys, our small children loved the animals and outside play area, would definitely recommend

My family and I have always fancied a trip to this place when passing many a time on route to Center Parcs. As we are a family of total 'foodies' we planned a date here to purchase some quality produce, have a look at the gifts and clothing upstairs and let the toddlers have a look at the animals on... We were surprised as to how busy the farm shop and cafe were when we arrived, but we soon saw why. It's in a great location off the A66 with generous outside seating area and benches with good views and good playing facilities for children. Inside, the farm shop was very large with a great selection of produce. We didn't... More

Excellent home cooked food in the cafe and really good choice of food in the farm shop plus gifts and houseware. Always busy so expect a queue but worth the wait.

The farm shop is amazing with an abundance of delicious treats. The tea rooms were equally lovely, helpful staff and delicious cakes. We were disappointed with the play area as too big for our little one (aged 2 and a half). The farm area is also disappointing and could be much better... you can only view animals from behind a... Have stopped here many times, going back to the old days when it was a little building. Today's breakfast here was a complete disappointment. The bacon was nice, sausages barely cooked, egg cremated, toast a mess. I feel they have taken their eye off the ball, probably because it's so busy. But it will stop being busy if our breakfasts... We have known about Mainsgill Farm for some time and we stopped there for a brew and some scran. Always very busy, however this is not a negative, the food is nice and the staff are pleasant. The butchers section of the store is good, lots of selections of different specialist pies and breads. The mead is also very moreish.... More
