Chapel of Our Lady of Purified Canincunca is part of the short Andean Baroque Route (fourth station)

It's a beautiful chapel located on a lake. Its interior is painted with frescos but the lighting is so poor it leaves much more to be desired. The admission is S/. 5.

Once again in the middle of a quiet country town sits an amazing grand old church - the ceiling is just incredible as are the frescoes. Worth looking at if you are up that way.

This is the simplest of the churches on the route (see Huaro and Andahuaylillas), but the decorative patterns on the walls are interesting and point to the importance of textile-based patterns in Peruvian art.
