The Irish Military War Museum and family park, offers a fascinating insight into Irish participants' involvement in both World War One and World War Two, as well as other military conflicts in world history.

The Irish Military War Museum, covering 5,000 square feet of floor space, will represent a distinctly non-political but 'must see' educational and historical resource for people of all ages and from right across the island of Ireland and beyond.

We a great day out here. We were a family group with nine children. There was loads to see and do, enough to entertain us all, from aged two up. The museum had an extensive collection of military equipment from WW1 up to Desert Storm. There were plenty of guns to handle and they don't seem to mind people touching things.... More

Couldn't say enough about this visit. The museum caters to all ages. Was at the opening of the new extension. So much to see. A must see for all the military enthusiasts. Everything is well laid out. Staff are so helpful. I was amazed at the reaction of repeat visitors who were visibly gobsmacked at the changes to the displays... More

Amazing place! When you walk there, you can see that heart and hard work was given to each small part of this place. You can see weapons, cars, tanks and uniforms used in WW1 and WW2. The owner which is also the quide lives this place. His knowledge and sense of humour makes this exhibition very special and interesting. Playground... More

Can't say enough good things about this place. Went as a family group of 14, adults and kids ranging in ages from 11 to 16. Staff were fantastic, really knowledgeable and very passionate about their museum. We arrived at 10am and were there until 4pm. Had guided tour of museum followed by a talk upstairs about world war one. Finished... More

Back on the 24th March I took my Father off to visit the Irish Military War Museum, Collon Co. Meath. My father has a very keen interest in both WW1 & WW2 military history so I really had no idea if this visit would manage to capture his imagination but I waited in hope and it certainly did not dissapoint.... This museum is an amazing collection of 20th century military weapons, really showing the role of arms in times of world war. The staff were excellent, being very accommodating indeed.

Visited this museum with my family yesterday. The tour was very informative, fun and interactive and the owner has a massive knowledge and passion for the subject. Great place for both adults and kids alike. It is pretty unique as you can get your hands on some of the guns and missiles which kids especially will love.

My partner had a tank lesson booked. Great place to visit, everyone is very friendly. Tank driving experience was great! The tank instructor Mark was really friendly and great with showing us the tank, how they operate and their history. After the tank lesson we went into the museum which had great exhibition of war relics and fire arms. The... More

This museum is set in the rolling Irish countryside and caters for all interests. There is a large, partially covered picnic area, maze, children's play area and indoor displays of militaria. We were fortunate to have a perfect spring day for our trip, to celebrate my nephew's birthday. Part of his experience was a driving session in a tracked personnel... More

Family visit to celebrate a 40th birthday. You don't have to be a military history fan, but it's an Aladdin's Cave if you are. As William the owner and lifetime collector says,"It's a hobby gone mad." Museum tour by knowledgeable guides, safe playground for children, covered picnic area and beautiful location. Tank driving lesson for the birthday present was a... More
