About
Mykonos is synonymous with beaches and parties. At Paradise Beach, you can get your fill of both. During the day, you can chill by the beach or spend time on water activities such as banana boat rides and jet ski jaunts. Several scuba diving excursions and beach-hopping tours also set off from here. Come late afternoon, the buzzing party atmosphere kicks in as bars and clubs welcome party lovers until sunrise.
If you plan to come by car, it’s about a 20-minute drive from Mykonos town. For a unique experience, ride a water taxi from Platis Gialos beach to get here.

- luvmy32000San Antonio, Texas1,296 contributionsparadise beach was enjoyable.Visited here with my girlfriend on our summer vacation in mykonos. We took the bus from mykonos to the beach. That was the least expensive option and easy and convenient. the beach is pricy. chairs, drinks, etc but we were on vacation and willing to shell out the cash. The beach is beautiful, the water is fabulous. Overall, I enjoyed it. If your traveling on a budget, you might want to pass on this. My and my girlfriend dropped about $200 on the beach and drinks in one day.Visited July 2022Written April 17, 2023

A couple of die hards were lying out on the beach and one was in the water but it is off season. There is not much here to do in the off season. There is a big nice bar. I can image this being the hot summer spot.Visited April 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 5, 2023
- Deborah G26 contributionsBeach with very nice views of landmarksThe beach was very serene. It was early in the day on a Sunday so not much going on. The beach was clean but not like US beaches with sand, it is very small gravel pieces. We picked up a few rocks as mementos, but they were confiscated when we tried to board our cruise ship :( My son wanted a seashell to bring back home, nothing found, just the gravel.Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 24, 2023
- traveltheworld461Fort McMurray, Canada1,851 contributionsLots of sea glass to findWe accessed the beach by car. There was a nice big parking lot. You have to pay to sit on the beach chairs. The servers were really nice. The sand is decent – a little pebbly. There is snorkeling access from the shore and we saw some fish. There is a lot of sea glass in the area to find. We enjoyed this beach.Visited May 2023Written June 22, 2023
- Mairwen1United Kingdom9,320 contributionsGetting the Bus from Mykonos Town to Paradise BeachParadise Beach has a big reputation as a party beach but during the day, it’s just a beautiful beach with a long curved stretch of sand, crystal clear water and gently lapping waves. It has a lively, fun atmosphere bit wasn’t raucous or unpleasantly noisy. It’s very crowded and the sunbeds dominate the beach so that there's very little free space. Sunbeds stretch right down to almost the water’s edge and there is only the smallest wedge of free space left beside the rocks on the right hand side of the beach. Sunbeds were €30 for a pair which seemed pretty reasonable but it was a bit too congested for us so we decided to continue on to Paraga Beach instead, which is only a short 10-15 minute walk over the headland. The path to Paraga starts with a set of stairs at the far right end of the beach (as you look at the water). Even if you’re staying at Paradise for the day, it’s worth walking up the stairs because they also lead to a beautiful viewing point, where you can look right down the length of the Paradise. GETTING TO PARADISE BY BUS: It was incredibly easy to get to Paradise Beach by bus from Mykonos town. We caught the bus from Fabrika Square in Mykonos’ old town. It is pretty chaotic here but the buses have a sign listing all of their stops in the front windscreen. Once we realised that, it was much easier to find our bus. We were told that you had to buy tickets at the small ticket office (cash only) first. However we noticed that other people paid as they got on the bus and this didn’t seem to be a problem. Don’t expect to get much help from the ticket office - they were completely disinterested and seemed to resent any questions. In contrast the bus drivers were very helpful so it’s best to stick your head into one of the buses and ask them directly. The trip took about 15 minutes and was €2.60 one way. The Paradise stop is the last one and we got off at a minimart. It wasn’t immediately obvious where to go so we simply crossed the road and followed a couple of people through what looked like a housing or holiday complex until we came to the beach club entrance. Buses to and from the old town are reasonably regular.Visited June 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 15, 2023

Cruisers please think very carefully before going on this trip! Here is some information that I hope will help you make a more informed decision! We paid £41 each for this trip only to find that the additional cost for sunbeds as per the trip description was 50 euros! ( 2 sunbeds and an umbrella.) We were only there 3 hours! Our Tour Guide (Intercruises/TUI) after speaking to the Manager informed us we had a discount and that we would be charged 40 euros! But No! we were all charged 50 euros and when we complained we were told that there had been a misunderstanding! The Tour Guide explained that although she had thought the Manager had said we would be charged 40 euros what he had actually said was that he had reserved 40 sunbeds for our party! I find this hard to believe especially as I heard the member of staff, collecting payment, inform a couple that it was 40 euros in our area and 50 elsewhere! When you are there it is difficult to refuse to pay especially as there is not a lot of space between sunbeds to put down towels. The beach is not great! Paradise this is not! There are other beaches within walking distance to the Port and a regular free shuttle bus so there are other options.

I’m giving it 2 stars only because the boys at the bar are cool and provide good quality cocktails on a reasonable price, the sunbeds are comfortable and overall the beach is good. But if you are planning to spend the day here (as us) you will need to look for a place to eat somewhere else for your own good. Starting from the fact that the waitress had a very arrogant attitude, she was acting very aggressive and rude. We wanted a menu to choose our food, after sometime she handled us one and disappeared for more than half an hour.Meanwhile we managed to order to another person on the beach, when she arrived she literally yielded at us. This is scandalous. But it’s not even all. We have ordered the most simple greek dish - chicken souvlaki. The plate arrived, we have specifically asked if the meat is chicken, the waiter confirmed it is. Well, it was pork! We asked to be changed, they brought us another plate with chicken that was not cooked! We have paid for this garbage. At the end we just left the place and had a normal and quality food for the same price in a tavern nearby. Be careful with your health at this restaurant.

We have visited Paradise beach for the last 9 years we have used the sun beds and restaurant every year. We paid between €20 and €25 for two sun loungers and an umbrella each year we have been here. Today we visited and took up two sun beds and an umbrella only to be told it would be €70 euros. I thought I had misheard the guy but no he said €70!!! How can it go from one season being €25 to the following season being €70! Disgusting! We left and got the bus straight back to Mykonos town. We will never return to what used to be a beautiful relaxed beach and “reasonable” in Mykonos terms. Also they had crammed so many more sun beds on to the beach this year there was nowhere at all to lay a towel. Very sad and disappointing.

In July 2023 we visited Paradise beach on Myconos. We arrived on our own without a tour, by ferry.
We wanted to swim, but not sunbathe as it was very hot and we want to spend on the beach time from 11-15 o'clock.
Renting an umbrella and two sunbeds for two people on the beach cost 70 euros. When we rented an umbrella, I noticed that the shadow from the umbrella covers only one sunbed. There was not enough shade on the second sunbed, because the sun was at its zenith. The beach boy said the shade would be longer in the late afternoon, but we wanted to wait out the afternoon sun and needed shade for two sunbeds. Us a result, we had to pay 70 euros for one sunbed with shade for 3,5 hours.
When we settled down, a girl from the bar came up and offered to order some drinks. We got acquainted with the menu and refused, as the price of drinks was quite high.
Then she said that we are obliged to buy drinks or food for 60 euros for two.
We asked where such a duty came from? We did not see the relevant information anywhere (there was no notice board, no papers with a rules or something else). These conditions (to spend 60 eur for drinks) were presented to us after the fact.
We were approached by a threatening-looking security guard who pretended not to understand English, but who by all appearances showed that we were obliged to make the appropriate purchase.
The name of the company providing sunbads on the Paradise beach was Tropicana.
I consider myself deceived and want to warn other people about Paradise beach and Tropicana company.

Went here thinking it was a party beach as it’s what brought tourism to Mykonos. There’s no music at all and it’s quiet, which is good actually. Might only be because it’s April and not peak season, but the bars are completely dead also some renovation going on. Downside to the experience was that there’s only two buses a day in April. One at around 7 am and one at 2 o’clock. There is no bus to come back after 2 o’clock and the bus driver said the next bus will be in 2 days! Be aware that you will have to take a taxi back and it will cost around €25 to Mykonos town. In summer the buses do run every hour I think but a lot less frequently off season.

Very disappointed with a trip to paradise today, stopped at the entrance and bags searched for food and drink - we decided to go to paraga just round the corner out of principle - of course you already know about the sunbeds ? 50 each so 200 a day for 4 - plenty of other beaches in Mykonos sunbeds a nightmare but at least you don’t get searched !!!!

We were hesitant coming here as a family group with the party party reputation. However, we were very pleasantly surprised a) to fit in fine with other groups and b) not to be totally ripped off. We entered through the paradise beach bar and were invited to take a few free sun longers right at the waters edge. We ordered some drinks and a fruit plate and settled in for a a few hours of sunbathing, paddling and wandering the beach. No large groups at that time, no loud music and no pressure to spend or leave at any point. Just fairly tranquil, pleasnt surroundings with clean toilets and as much food and drink from the various bars as you want. Could be very different during high season or later in the day.

Last time I was here it was 1998 and I was 29.
Then, we spent a week in Mykonos and we kept going here everyday for outstanding parties day and night. Then, there were no sunbed and umbrella fees, you just ordered drinks at slightly higher prices than elsewhere and had them for free with amazing music and party scene.
Now, in 2021 I went back to recall my memories at age 52.
Sunbeds and umbrellas are in a range from 30-50 Euros depending on the row.
Drinks are seriously expensive. Music and party is similar, but it wasn't my cup of tea anymore.
We went only for a couple of hours on the miniature free part of the beach to the far left.
One thing remained the same - I still like it more than Super Paradise.

This was a quick stop as part of our Gate1 tour. Surprisingly lovely! We were able to dip our feet into the very blue and clear water and the sand felt good. There were plenty of lounge areas in front of restaurants and the cocktail drinks were surprisingly inexpensive. Worth the stop for sure!

As an older type couple we thought that it a bit odd going to Paradise beach for the afternoon but must say we had a very good time with some good food and drinks with interesting entertainment. You can sit an people watch for as long as you can handle the drink. Place starts to go off after 6pm again worth the visit. best time to get an area around 2 pm best time to leave before it gets over the top 8pm

Hi, we will be staying in Platis Gialos but want to go to Paradise Beach. Could somebody please tell me what is the best way to go from place to another, back and forth? Bus/Walk?

If we are going for the sunset and stay maybe 1 or 2 hours is there a cover fee, or do we have to spend a min of euros to be there?

Best way is to catch the bus to Paradise beach from top end of Mykonos town. The bus leaves around every half hour and includes return ride when you have had enough. Their is no cover charge at Paradise beach and the area is made up of a number of food and drink outlets with seating areas one assumes that they will want you to buy a drink if using there facilities. The beach has numerous beach chairs and cabanas which you would have hire at a cost but to take you own towel and sit on the beach is free.

We’ve bought an amazing champagne yesterday and considering taking it with us to the beach. Of course we will pay for tanning beds and will order more from the menu. We’re just wondering if it’s legitimate to bring it with us?

I know Mykonos is "pricey", I am just trying to get an idea of how much a beer and drinks are to budget how much EUR to bring for the day (we are coming in via cruise ship in September).
Not sure if we will rent chairs or not as we are only planning on spending a 2-3 hours here, to head back and walk through town.
Suggestions - Thoughts are greatly appreciated.

pricey all right, and its early season so I guess the eating joints would have opened up. Dont remember the exact price, but pricey 5-6 Euro a beer I think. Its OK for a couple of hours I guess, but they charge for everything. good luck
