After paying your entry ticket, you are quicky processed by unfriendly guys who hand you a life-jacket, then you join the queue until they bring up another rubber dinghy in which you are roughly pushed. If you're in the front you are handed a paddle and expected to row (if you take a break along the way to admire the waterfall, the guy in the back yells at you to keep rowing). The boat trip proceeds through the canyon for about 300 meter long section of the Abasha river, up to the section known as the Dadiani's Bath. It is pretty there, but you are not allowed to linger ; turn around and head back, because the next lot is waiting.
Then go up to the visitor center and walk a good 500 m long limestone-paved tourist route with two bridges and three canyon viewing platforms and to the historic Dadiani trail to view some gorgeous nature and water-rapids. The river and puddles used to be the private bathing area for the Dadiani Noble Family. You can still see the 30 steps staircase that these aristocrats used.
Word of caution ! The path is made out of limestone. When they are wet (which they always are because of the spray of the river below), they are slippery as ice. I witnessed several people take a bad tumble.

It is good canyon with full of water and small waterfalls. It is not big and takes maximum 25-40 minutes to pass through it by walk. There was no boat ride available when we visited due to high pressure of water. It is worth visiting, if it is on the way of your travel to Batumi from Tbilisi.

Wow!! What a stunning place. I loved every second of it. We came on a rainy day so the water was brown, photos show that it’s usually blue green but not today but it didn’t matter. It was still stunning.
We first went on a inflatable boat and rowed through the canyon stopping and turning at a waterfall. There we followed the walking path through the forest to some stunning waterfalls. Honestly What a gorgeous place. So stunning. Certainly recommend.

Martvili Canyon is a breathtaking natural wonder. Paddle through its emerald waters on a boat, gazing upwards at the towering limestone cliffs adorned with lush greenery. The tranquil silence is occasionally broken only by the melodic chirping of birds and the gentle gurgling of cascading waterfalls. For an adrenaline rush, consider the zipline that soars over the canyon, offering a truly exhilarating perspective. While it may come at a slight premium, the experience is well worth it.

We had the boat ride along the canyon, it was really good. Six of us and the guide in a boat. They provide life jackets. I was one of the ones handed a paddle and told to get paddling. The guide just sits in the back and steers!!

After the boat ride we wandered along the paths in the gorge. A great place to visit.

Beautiful canyon. Must do the boat ride in the beautiful greenish blue water. The waterfall nearby is also so beautiful and just a two minute walk down. Very well worth it and better than Okatse any day

Gorgeous taking a boat trip through the canyon, although it was only 10 minutes due to water being rough. (This is the easy water, suitable for kids, Not rafting). You get a life jacket, after that you get to explore the waterfalls, little creeks and beautiful views. It has quite a few stairs so keep that in mind for older people.

This was pretty but very small. It only took us 15 minutes to see the whole thing. Not worth the cost or the distance. If it’s on your way, maybe you could stop, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to see it.

It offers wonderful atmosphere with its beautiful alley. It was so beautiful and refreshing. Cheerful guides paddled us down the river in rubber rafts. The waterway was narrow and banked by tall craggy cliffs. We had an amazing trip !
