I always go to odeon even though it's more expensive because the popcorn at Reel is a lot smaller than OdeonVisited September 2015Traveled as a coupleWritten February 11, 2016

It's very clean and tidy tho it was hard to find staff when need top ups of munchVisited January 2016Written January 9, 2016
- Lydia DNeath, United Kingdom181 contributionsStar warsGreat location. Dont forget to put your car reg in the computer for free parking. Great staff. Food and drink expensive as per usual with cinemas. The seats in the cinema need some repairs. All a bit shoddy. Is one of my favourite cinemas to go to though for location.Visited December 2019Traveled with familyWritten December 24, 2019

Booked online to see Oppenheimer, 4 tickets, cost a bunch including a fee that was not clearly stated. Went to the cinema and was about to be let in until a miserable looking old woman who worked there went up to the security guard and told him to ask for our IDs. We all clearly looked over 15, but they asked for us to provide proof with either a birth certificate or a passport. WHO BRINGS THOSE TO A CINEMA?? What would’ve been better is that we could’ve proved our age before confirming the online booking. Asked for a refund and was only refunded for the tickets and not the unclearly stated booking fee. Also noticed people in there had bought food to go into the film which is horrifically overpriced, and were then denied for even entering the film despite wasting a fortune on food. Ridiculous. Appalling service, overpriced, rip off, and unclear instructions. I am not impressed at all and will be surprised if anyone was allowed into the film at all.

My wife parked in the car park to pick up my 13 Year old son, she misjudged the finish time of the film he was watching, so just sat in the car to wait, she didn't get out of the car, yet was issued with a £60 fine by Minster Baywatch. Sent them an email explaining my wife did not leave the car at all, let alone use any of the services, but they showed no consideration or compassion and proceeded to threaten us with an increased fine and bailiffs, absolutely horrible company. I would that people do not visit this Cinema because of the way Minster Baywatch run their company, they are only there to catch people and issue them with fines and threats.

We were staying at a local hotel with nothing to do for the evening and noticed that the cinema was across the car park so quickly googled it and discovered showings for that evening. Easy to book online so we booked tickets and went in. Staff were really friendly, easy booking system and straight into the screening. The seats were comfortable, the lovely plush old velvet kind with head rests and ample leg room. The cinema was big enough for people to spread out, still with Covid in mind, and it was a great viewing experience from start to finish. Great picture and sound quality. What amazed me was the price, £5 a ticket to see a brand new release - absolute bargain. We pay triple that at my home cinema. The cinema itself I think even had eight screens which is fantastic and there seemed to be an array of films on offer over the week. We parked at our hotel but there was a screen to register your car for parking. What a great little find - the locals really don't know how lucky they are!

Stinking, aggressive attitude of the duty manager towards my 15 year old son in front of my family (including my 8 and 10 year old).
This man needs to be sacked, I’ve never received such disgusting costumer service.
Don’t not waste your money!!

Can't put nil stars. Went in and film on trailers. Jobs worth duty manager would not let us in as film was on trailers...as others apparently complain. Given the cinema empty , their loss of 80 pound as were intending to spend on food.Told others can be on time, others may not have ASD kids who don't do waiting too well for 20 plus minutes for film to start. So if film advertised for 7pm. And you not there by 7 pm, you got no chance. Must say can applaude his attitude, Rude arrogant and inflexible. Went few weeks ago and was freezing. Won't be going again. Plenty of cinemas this area.

This cinema is like a building site. The customer service the worst I have ever received. Please avoid at all costs. We went for a film day out and was very rudely refused entry because our 15 year old son had no Id. We were told he should have a driving license and that we were lucky to be getting a refund.

I was in Port Talbot on New Year’s Day with no public transport and little else to do. I found this cinema which is a real little jewel. It’s incredibly cheap, has lovely staff, good Covid processes, comfortable seats and lots of parking if you need it. Recommended.

A really nice indie cinema with lots of character to it, which adds to the atmosphere of the place that creates a true cinematic experience. Decent prices for the tickets that is good value for your money. Brilliant selection when it comes to choice of food, drinks and snacks. My partner and I live near an Odeon cinema but we always prefer travelling to Port Talbot to watch a movie at Reel Cinema because it feels like it’s more arthouse than a typical multi plex. The staff there are always welcoming and friendly too.

I've just had a bullying letter from Minster Baywatch, (the parking thugs at Reel Port Talbot) demanding £155:00 for waiting outside in my car for my 12 year old son to come out of the cinema. As I paid for his ticket I wrongly thought I would be entitled to wait for
a short period for him to emerge, having spent the best part of my hard earned £15.00 inside. Wrong! My registration plate was caught on camera, then the treating letters came demanding first £60 then £100 and now £155:00. what next?.
Reel's local manager has ignored my letter of complaint and so have the the rest of Reel's complaints procedure personnel, easy money I suppose?
Very unpleasant experience, visit at your peril!
Now threatened with County Court unless I pay, very stressful situation.

Visited this cinema with a fifteen and seventeen year old last night, whilst we were on holiday in the Black Mountains. We had to drive quite a way to get there, but thought it would be a nice treat for the kids. We paid for our tickets, but then, the guy collecting our tickets (very large and grumpy chap) rudely walked away from us without saying anything and went to talk to the person who took our money. Then he returned and very abruptly said we needed ID. I explained we didn’t have any and then he rudely pointed at my son and said ‘he cant go in, he is not 15’. I explained he was, but the man said unless we had ID for him, he could not go in. Then, without a word of explanation, he turned his back on us again and disappeared into a back room and soon after emerged with a young ‘manager’, who said it was company policy and he would give us a refund! We could not believe it. The film we had wanted to see was ‘A Star is Born’. We never carry ID for our children - does anyone? I can understand the need for checking ages with a group of teenagers, but as the kids were with us, they were basically refusing to take our word as parents and were calling us liars! My son is five foot seven and gangly, like a
lot of fifteen year olds - we have been to see a number of fifteen rated films in England and never had a problem. What was the problem with these guys? This film has only been out a few days and the guy who sold us the tickets told us that only four tickets had been sold for that viewing, so we would have doubled the viewing numbers! I cannot believe that our word as parents was not believed! Dreadful experience. to drive quite a way to get there, but thought it would be a nice treat for the kids.
