What a wacky experience
Oct 2021
Enjoyed every minute of my trip to see the Swansea baked beans museum. Captain Beany was a bit wacky but a very generous gentleman who has raised a huge amount of money for charity.
It is a bit mad and you have to be a bit mad to go but it was great fun.
Certainly a trip I will not forget in a hurry.
I will highly recommend it to others.

Captain Beany Superstar
Oct 2021
If you're going to Port Albot the Baked Bean Museum you must visit. This is one of those experiences in life that will be forever in your memory and will bring you a smile every time you recall it. The Museum isn't, of course, a normal museum, and your host and curator, Captain Beany, is probably the most eccentric good-hearted person you'll ever meet in your entire life. The bottom line is that, even if you don't like beans (a bit weird, but ok), this voyage into a different time and space will be such an enjoyable one that you will, just like me, want to recommend it to the rest of the world.

What an amazing experience, we are so glad that we found this online and can’t recommend the visit enough. We laughed from start to finish and captain beaney has given us memories and laughs that we will cherish forever. Captain beaney made us feel welcome and made us belly laugh. He is such an interesting man with many stories but also amazing and kind and carries out lots of charity work. His enthusiasm and energy was contagious. We would highly highly recommend visiting captain beaney!!

A lovely eccentric man (mad about beans)
With his house dedicated to beans and his life dedicated to fund raising for charity. We spent over an hour there. Full of laughs and friendly banter 😂😃😂 Completely different experience but worth it!!!

Once in a lifetime experience!

This kind and funny soul is an inspiration. My young family and I were positively dumbfounded both by his house/museum and his dedication to good causes. What fun. And what a guy! If only there were more people like Captain Beany in this world...

Funny, heartwarming, crazy and brilliant! My son thought it was better than Alton Towers!! Highlight of our holiday, a great guy, and an unforgettable day. More interesting and more fun than most of the museums I've been to for definite 😂 👌👏

Captain Beany made us so welcome and shared lots of amazing and hilarious stories about his many adventures and achievements, he’s really lived such an interesting life and we loved hearing about some of it on our visit.
He’s a true eccentric and it was a real privilege to meet him and see his brilliantly funny and genuinely interesting museum.
It was great fun for our whole family and we will never forget it that’s for sure! Thank you captain Beany!!

This was a highlight of our holiday in South Wales. This is the experience that you will be recommending to all. Captain Beany was engaging to both my 4 year old and my teenager. Captain was very accommodating and fitted us in at short notice. I wish him the best. It's a shame I can't give more than 5 stars

Half baked, all beanius

I'd call this an Experience rather than a mere museum (though for bean fans there is a room full of bean-related memorabilia to peruse) – spending time chatting with the fabulously engaging Captain Beany about how he came to be, and all his exploits, is a privilege and a truly unique experience. Both fascinating, and utterly hilarious. A proper one-off.
