Stunning views across to Swansea Bay
Sep 2021
A huge expanse of very clean beach with lots of seats along the flat promenade. There is plenty to do with children, a splash park with ice-cream parlour, mini golf with a little cafe, lots of green areas to play on or have a picnic. Toilets are spotlessly clean. There are a few restaurants along the promenade, one that deserves a mention is Franco's fish and chip that has a take-a-way service too. I have visited this restaurant on many occasions and I must say the fish and chips are amazing and huge portions, the batter is light and crispy and best chips ever. The last time I went I went for something different, I had the plaice with tartare sauce and this was the best plaice I have ever eaten. Cannot wait to go back again. The staff are welcoming and friendly always ready for a chat and I must give a big mention to our waitress Emma who served us our delicious ice-cream.

Day out with the family .
Aug 2021 • Family
Our 2nd visit to this lovely clean beach , 2nd visit we had a family day out here , our grandchildren of various ages had a good time building sand castles & paddling in the sea . The beach is more of a wet beach perfect for buckets & spades . Clean toilet facilities & close to cafes , restaurants. Also a children’s park & splash park . Would recommend for few hours out with family or just for a lovely stroll.

Hold onto your hats
Aug 2021 • Family
A long flat beach, great for sandcastles and bodyboarding, but boy is it windy, so hang on to your hats, and take some wind breaks. We pitched a tent aswell which was hilarious in the wind, but really useful once up. Considering the time of year, remarkably quiet, but our approach to the beach wasn’t the prettiest, through a very densely populated residential area, and the steels works is over the very far side of the beach, not near us but plain to see, so perhaps this puts a lot of people off.
All the requisite, shell collecting, sandcastle building, burying children in the sand (we let them out, honest) was done so a good family visit.

Peaceful and relaxing
Jul 2021
Lovely long promenade, free parking, but no actual facilities on the beach itself. Take your own chairs, but the sand is golden and the sea quite far out and only fit for paddling. Very relaxing. Visited several times during my short stay in the town.
