Murano, Burano and Torcello Half-Day Sightseeing Tour

5,014 reviews
This sightseeing tour allows you to see three islands in the Venetian Lagoon in half a day. Visitors often visit Murano—well-known for its glass-blowing factory—but fewer make it to Burano and Torcello, with their lace-making shops and ornate palaces and churches. The tour also offers two departure times a day, making it easier to fit into your schedule.

This sculpture was in a square in Murano, but it was moved to another place. We walked a lot until find it... And what a surprise!! It is extremely beautiful. And it deserves a visit.

A beautiful structure made from Murano glass. No charge to view and it is certainly worth the detour to see.

On an island renown for their glass blowing, it was awesome to see this. With so much in there workshops and stores for sale, it made it feel like it was as much a matter of pride and a draw for the tourists. This was a beautiful sight and I won't even admit how many pictures I took (I didn't know during the day it would light up at night - I had to take more pictures).

One of the more public pieces of art, while we were there it was a giant glass tree which nicely complimented Torre dell'Orologio di Murano. Whatever is being displayed, it will be indicative of the fine craft of glassmaking.

The artifacts here are replaced once in a while with new ones. All these are made in the town by the local glass makers. It is amazing to see such talent. No wonder, Murano glass is so famous.
