It's not what you except to find when driving around the scenic Mount Fuji five lakes. We didn't go inside but you can get a view of Fuji from the car park

Japan suffers from earthquakes and extreme weather conditions. To predict dangerous storms, in 1965 a radar was installed on top of mount Fuji. By having a radar at such a high altitude (3,776 metres), it can "see" further ahead and thus predict hazardous weather earlier....More
