It was the first time we were able to meet after the covid-19 lockdown, to celebrate our friends' golden wedding. We had a barbecue in the garden, keeping social distancing and all fresh food from Fordhall. The pork pies, sausages, burgers with apple and fresh strawberries to finish were all delicious and got the thumbs up from our guests. I would recommend any barbecue planners to stock up from Fordhall! Let's hope for plenty more sunshine to come!

Food comes from the joint holders allotments ......a bit like a cooperative. However the cooking skill falls short of an average chef. Ask Gordon. He knows what I mean.

Took a ride out today hoping to take one of the trails but unfortunately the weather decided to be against us - poured with rain. We did take a look around and will be returning to have another walk as the scenery is lovely. We did take lunch in the farm kitchen. There is a good variety of choice in a lovely cosy atmosphere the staff very friendly and attentive. We also went into the farm shop which has a wonderful choice of local produce. The butchery counter and hand made pies looked scrumptious- purchased something for dinner tonight. Will look forward to visiting again very soon.
