Love this place

An ideal place for relaxation in the heart of Sumy. Here you can spend time with the children or have a picnic. Personally I like the most to go jogging in the park with my dog. The coolest thing is that there are not so many people if it’s not a holiday or a football match day (a football stadium is located near here), so you can spend time outside just enjoying the nature. The only thing that could be better is that people should take care of the environment a little bit more.

You have a park, not like a natural forest but close to it and I really like this part of the park. The other half of the park has a mini disneyland, which is ok, but some of the rides are appallingly old and scary because of that. The cafes are usually good value in summer, nothing great but certainly not bad. And past that is in open area where public events like live music, dance competitions, displays etc, are held. One one side of the whole park is the sad and sometimes extremely smelly river Psel.

Nice place to walk arong Psel River.

Kozhedub Park is a nice place to unwind. There is a paved walking path along the river, at one point there is a pedestrian bridge over the river into a residential area and a sports complex. There are rides for children and food and drink vendors, a place where you can have a beer and watch the world go by if you so choose. Follow the river path far enough, past the pedestrian bridge, and it gets a bit wild, locals fish here and it is not unusual for people to drive a car near the river, have a fire, and just have a nice day on the river.

Park named for Ukrainian War Hero
Dec 2015 • Family
This park is named in honor of Ivan Kozhedub, a World War II war hero who was born in the Sumy Region. The Psil River runs through the park and there is a rather large beach area along the bank. There are different things to do, especially if you have small children, including rides, nature walks, and a section of the park with statues dedicated to Slavic fairy tale characters. In the winter you can go sledding in the park and in the summer enjoy the outdoor weather while sitting under an umbrella enjoying a soft drink.

Sumy's Best Park. Кращий Парк в Сумах.
Aug 2015 • Family
It is located in the city center.
Park has three entrances. 1-Park of Kozhedub, 2-Park Leshens'kyh, 3 - Riverside.

This park is like a forest. There are tall beautiful trees. There are also flowers.

Most atractions are old and usual. I suggest visiting "kryvi dzerkala" room which has different mirrors and they make you look really funny. You can also ride on the Sumy Eye (koleso obozrenia) and see the park, stadium, river etc from it.

There are lame cafes in the park. But you can enjoy cotton candy.

Park is full of statues from fairytales. Some of them are creepy.

You can enjoy walking or running in the park.
