We spent one week with a group of 6 adults and 3 small children in Vadas thermal resort.
There is a lot of different pools with different water temperature, they are regulary cleaned. You can also rent sun beds and umbrellas. There is also play area for small children. And finally small aerea for nudist.
At the end - you can also find 2-3 toboggan, they are paid extra.
You can find many fast foods, but all of them offer the same. .
You can choose many different types of accommodation in this area - campsite, cottages and finally some small shops with basic stuff to buy.

This place is great to spend your summer holiday with small children. There is a pool area for very small children (few months) as well as swimming pools for older children. All pools are being cleaned every evening (changing water every day). There is many places to eat, dring or have fun. Many playground areas as well. Adults can play volleyball, ping-pong, use boats on a small pond, etc. You do not have to leave this place for a whole week. Yet if you want to, you can visit Visegrad, Ostrihom... We stayed in Samaragd aparatments directly in Vadas resort. You have to book it in advance (late winter or early spring to stay there in summer). It is very busy and can be noisy if your neighbors like to stay up late in the evening. I recommend the two-floor apartments for families. It is simply furnished, yet clean and spacious. You can visit all swimming pools in the resort for free if you are staying in the resort. You only have to pay for tobogans (5EUR/day).

We come here every year with our family for holidays. We are a big family and that means a big tent.
On arrival the lady asked us if we had been here before so we told her we had. She didn't explain more, handed us our cards and wished us a nice stay.
We found a spot in the shade, started to set up the tent and just then a young gentleman from security arrived. He didn't say anything just looked at us and left. Everything was fine, a couple of hours passed, of course the tent, the shelter, the kitchen set up and a second gentleman from security came with a sign which he put in front of our car and started scolding us for being in the wrong place. That there could only be caravans here. As there were plenty of other tents around us, we didn't understand why we were the only ones in the wrong place. So we left it at that.
When it was time to leave and we wanted to extend our stay by a day, another security gentleman arrived in the morning, adamantly repeating the learned phrase "Only caravans can be here" and there was no reasonable way to ask him anything.
We went back to reception and asked politely the lady behind the desk if we could purchase a caravan spot (as our tent was the size of a caravan) and it was only a one day extension. I commend the lady, she adamantly turned us down. At the end, she still managed to tell us that there is a difference between booking something via the web (and they can't see what you come to the site with) and coming politely and asking in person.
One thing I don't understand about this whole thing is that if the rules change I'll tell people about it (the plan at the front desk shows that there is a tent site where we had a tent).
If I want something to be visible, I'll put a sign there in the morning and not move it there 3 minutes before I go to tell someone off for being in the wrong place.
Why are there guys on bikes checking things when the young gentleman just looked at us and said NOTHING, and only came to "warn" us in the evening when everything was set up? Why doesn't the lady at reception direct people with tents according to, ideally, the current site plan? Why are the signs on the trees facing out of the site and not into the site, that would be visible on arrival? Why isn't the caravan site marked properly and visibly, and ideally with non-movable signs?
What is the difference between someone (coincidentally the family "next door") paying for a caravan site, making the excuse that they are sleeping in a car, yet sleeping in a tent and between the caravan? According to Vadaš, none. But if a customer comes in and asks politely, they leave disgusted because apparently rudeness is the only thing that works here to have a peaceful stay.

Book online and risk losing your money! I paid 219 EUR for 3 nights camping to reserve a spot. Tried to call first several times...no answer...so online booking was the only way. Huge mistake!!! When we arrived hours later, we were told that we there is no space for caravans, there was nothing they can do, and that someone will call tomorrow to talk about refunding the money. No written confirmation of this or any reassurance.
The website stated clearly that it is okay to book at tent space if the caravan spaces were full...but the front desk said they don't do that anymore. We were treated rudely by the guy at the front desk. Also later that night, someone made a fraudulent transaction on that same card in HUF. It is clear who did it, as I made no other online transactions for months. Someone got my card information from the online purchase to pay for online gambling in the amount of 188 EUR!!! Now I'm dealing with the bank about that.
So, because of the decision to book a campsite at Vadas, 400 EUR were missing from my account the next day and no real response from VADAS camping.
The next morning, we went back, tried to explain the situation again and get our money back. The head manager and team argued with us for 30 minutes. She rudely and arrogantly refused to refund our money. Only when I mentioned that I was calling the police about these 2 crimes did they finally start listening, and eventually agreed to refund our money.
What is wrong with people? How can you take so much money and not deliver camping or water park access? How can you not humble yourself, see the mistake, and resolve it without our coming to tears and threatening to call the police? Something is wrong with the people in this company...as if they are lacking any human understanding or empathy. So selfish trying to keep money that isn't theirs when they deliver nothing to us and we did nothing wrong.
I would highly recommend staying across the Danube at the Gran campground. What an insane experience is Vadas. Sad people and I hope they can look inside, correct some things, and become better people.

Thermal resort is no longer a place suitable just for the summer vacation. Although the outdoor pools are available may - september, the hotel has a new indoor thermal wellness open all year long. Resort is great also for families with kids and babies. During summertime be prepared to a lively surrounding. Near the city center and near the border crossing to the hungarian Esztergom worth visiting.

park itself is very nice but be aware prices and opeening hours change from september first , which i got caught out on, so i decided to go to the more expensive spa beside it and it was quite bad, two small pools , steam room / sauna that didnt work, staff with no english, which is understandable. stick to the park!
