Yes there is bus for elder people and for long distance caves also there is bus facility. If you visit main caves then its only 3 caves for buddhist , jain and Hindu. It is very near about entry gate.

There is no luggage counter but you can keep your luggage in Restaurant.

You can attempt it but u will be able to scratch only the surface and see only the main caves. I did it once spent the forenoon at Ellora and left after lunch drew to Ajanta , left the vehicle at parking lot and then... More
