Crystal clear waters

Truly organic wetland park. Lots of reeds, some scattered trees, some people were fishing, others sightseeing via a bus like vehicle, and a few on bicycles.

A beautiful and unforgettable place.

I was born here. I'm familiar with it. Because China's second largest inland river, the Heihe River, flows through it. So the water table in this city is very high. Good for crops and plants. That's why there is such a beautiful wetland park. I like here very much, and often play here. There are three ways to visit here. The first option is walking. Second, you can rent bicycles from the local people. The third kind takes the sightseeing bus. Welcome to here, what don't know can contact me at any time. This is my mailbox. 944813139@qq.com

Beautiful and serene

Lovely paths, great plantings and water features. A wonderful place to walk with family and friends and to get away from the hubbub of the city.

Peaceful place
Oct 2017 • Friends
We went here in the morning before leaving for Jiayuguan. It was nice and peaceful. There were old people doing various activities in different places in the park. Gives you that real community feel.

We rented bikes to go around and explore for a bit.

All in all a good stop to just enjoy the scenery with it just beside the city itself.

A beautiful and relaxing way to spend a sunny afternoon!
Apr 2017 • Family
The National Wetland park is huge and really beautiful in the late spring, summer, and fall (they cut the reeds during the winter, so not quite as nice). It's a really relaxing way to spend an afternoon and I often go there after teaching classes or on the weekends (I teach at the university just by the park). You can walk or rent bikes and cycle around the park. There is also a small lake where you can rent pedal boats and a free museum. The wetlands park is open 24/7 and free.

Relaxing .....

HeiHe River Wetland Park is located in Zhangye Ganzhou district, very near to the city.

We visited this place in a group tour and were given only 2 hours to explore the place. We therefore choose to rent a bike so that we can cover more spots.

There are many scenic spots for photography - lakes, little bridge, flowers, birds, reed ....

Small park, too much trash
Aug 2016 • Couples
Small park area with pond, walkways, bikes and paddle boats for hire and some stalls selling food. Very popular with locals as walking around is free, and it gives you a break from the city noise. Rather too much trash in the bushes and waters for us to enjoy it.

What a find
May 2016 • Solo
The best way to end your day tour of the city. It's free, the lakes are beautiful and the sunset here is fantastic. I'm a sole traveller but it's hard not to notice what a fantastic place this would be to take the kids (nieces in my case) Giant wheels, boats, fishing, sand pits and loads more. Deserves a lot more recognition.
