Maybe Miyakojima lacks authentic attractions, I don't know. We were on one of those cruise ships other reviewers mentioned, and our group tour brought us to this place with a vaguely worded promise that we would "learn something" about salt production. Whee. What we got...More

With cruise ships calling miyakojima, the museum had gotten busy. Beside snow salt, you will find sweets made from snow salt. Not necessary to stay for long but you can cause heavy bleeding to your bank account if you are not careful. Buying the snow...More

Nothing to visit there but nice omiyage shop to bring back tasty stuff for friends, family of co-workers. You find their stuff all over Miyakojima but here the full range of available. The factory could not be visited and the manufacturing process explanation was limited...More
