These ponds are located on the north of Shimoji island. It was raining,when we went,but pond's color was beutiful deep blue. One pond is 45m depth.It becomes convinience for long IRABU island bridge, You should visit.

Found this place by accident, but really glad we did! Wish we'd done the dive that allows you to swim into the pools from the ocean! Maybe next time!

Maybe next time I will scuba in these 2 pond like holes. Apparently these are connected to the ocean via a under water tunnel and it's fantastic for scuba diving. No admission fee, about a 75 meters walk in a shaded walk way to the...More

It was windy when we went (Feb) but an easy walk along paved roads and a partially completed boardwalk. The boardwalk doesn't extend all the way to shore and looks as if it's undergoing some sort of renovations. There are a few benches to sit...More
