This boat trip takes you right through the town of Lier and offers the most beautiful views on the historic city center. The traditional eal rolling boats are equipped with electrical engines , which guarantees a very quite trip while the captain provides information on the historic buildings ( 14th - 16th century ). It is like a visit to
" mini Brugge " just more personal . You can even ask to get your apero served on board.

My boss invited us to come on a boatride on a thursday at 5pm. We were 15 people between 20 and 60 years old.
The boat can take about 20 people, i think.
We were welcomed with a drink (softdrink, beer, cocktail, wine...) and we started a 45' ride up and down a piece formerly a part of the river Nete. The boat went on a slow pace, the guide informed us about stories of several centuries. I liked it a lot. We got peace and quiet, but also nature, being together as a group and a history tour.
I lost track of time. It felt too soon to end. One of my collegues enjoyed nature and peace, but didn't like or listen to what the guide had to say.
I would even like to go a second time.
Afterwards there are many places nearby to go for a drink or if you go early to shop.

The weather was fine, the travel partners were great and our guide gave us an refreshing historical insight. Not the kind you get in the history books but from the people by the people. For sure a unique experience.

every year we take the boat tour and every year my kids are as enthusiastic as it would be their first time on a boat. Also for adults the explanation is really worth listening.
