After lunching very well at Churrascaria Ipiranga two blocks we walk to this cultural space that synthesizes and is narrated in a mixture of Portuguese and Italian by a descendant of the Italian couple among many who came to Brazil to escape the crisis and poverty in Italy 140 years ago. The infrastructure is fine, but the whole theatre thing is not. The actor was in a hurry and spoke too fast and with a terrible accent.

a trip to the beggining of 20th. century and the history of the colonizations of BRAZIL by europeans told by an "italian". a glimpse of the costumes, clothes at that time.

This museum tells the story of how and why Italians came to Brazil. It has 2 movies they have English subtitles if you ask. Very interesting.

I have to admit the explanations were in Portuguese, so I could not understand everything, but I got the feeling it could be much better: more pictures, relics, documents ecc. Even the movies set in Italy - in Portuguese with some Italian word here and there - looked ridiculous and false. Too superficial. As an Italian - from the Veneto... More
