Beckoned by the cute little towels displayed outside of this lovely little shop on 13, rue Grande in this beautiful "on the Seine" town of Les Andelys.
Drawing me inside was the well-lit beautifully decorated windows on the exterior. On this first friday in April, the sweet French shopkeeper was extremely helpful. Little English spoken was enough to be helpful and friendly. We, tourists, arrived by river boat and descended on this little town, Le Petit Andelys. Imagine walking through a French storybook and you are there. Along the Seine, little cottages, churches, ruins, villages and walking path along the river. Bonjour, France and its little towns and shops. This has it all. Very few shops were open this morning. But; the Blandin Cadeaux WAS.
A "gem" of a find. The little towels hanging outside in the front were only 3 euros. Decorated with Eiffel tower and other well known landmarks and in good taste on fine material was an excellent buy. Wonderful sachets in every scent and packaging was another great buy, made in France.
Also, limited supply of some souveniers, was enough for this "fine" shop without diminishing the nicer merchandise.
Tourists will be pleased if they happen to stumble on this charming little shop.

A charming old Norman village with original norman buildings. Lovely scenic walk along the Seine. Quaint little gift shops, art gallery and cafe and the gem is the church on the square. Of course the Chateau Gaillard is a must set on the hill overlooking Les Andelys and the panorama.

I just strolled about Petit Les Andelys and aside from a small grocery store, this was the only other shop opened that morning. What a nice gift shop with lovely linens, tablecloths, hand towels, and other home goods. I picked up a cute 'cow' hand towel & soap set(made in France), and two dish towels (made in Portugal). A number of the women from our cruise ship were in the shop. This was a nice place to stop in and browse, one of the nicer shops that we saw on this river cruise. I'm sure its customer base are mostly tourists but it seemed that locals would shop there too.

Lovely quaint town that our river cruise ship stopped in for few hours. Castle up on hall is worth the steep hike for wonderful views of the countryside and rivers. The street has some small shops, and cafe, nice art galleries. People were friendly.

This was one of the very few shops that was open when we visited this lovely small town from our River Cruise ship. The shop displayed and sold good quality goods at realistic prices. Not the usual tatty souvenirs. The lady in the shop was very pleasant. We purchased some nice Tea Towels.

I wish I had stumbled upon this shop an hour earlier as I could have spent that in there and find some beautiful items to bring back home. Lovely pieces and good prices.
