It’s a vast lagoon located in Anzali port ,
You can ride a boat a have the tour , a full trip on boat takes around one and half hour ,
There is no crocodile and wild marine life !!!
You can enjoy the marine tulips flowers sight if you visit before mid September .
I highly recommend to get the speed boat as the quality of boats vary ,
Mostly traditional boats are available , but speed boats have proper seats for 4 person and comfy ride .
There is a very good restaurants called Amoo Esmaeel serving local fish , it’s delicious and well done 👍
You get to see all the ships coming and going and a navy small ship which is not operational any more .
The lagoon is getting shallower , the deepest part get only as 1.5 meter , due to low maintenance and lack of Govermnet supportive plans .
It’s a highly recommended place to visit
Price is moderate and lots of places offer the ride to lagoon . How ever speed boats are limited

anzali lagoon or "bandar-e-anzali" is a port in norh of iran in Anzali city,Gilan province. it is a port for exporting and importing things from seemingly nearby countries, which is still alive and working.you can go there and enjoy the films-like lagoon with boats, tugboats and ships coming and going with their lamps(the scene has special beauty in evening, when it is neither very dark, nor much sunny),and whistling!!! it is very interesting.you can seat there beside water while eating snacks and enjoy the scene.moreover you can hire a little boat which can take you in the water for a while inbetween reeds.enjoy it!!!

It is stunning. We had a boat ride over there and also is famous for the boat trips. If you take a boat trip, you can see the the beautiful landscape, beautiful nature, flowers and seabirds. Also there are many canebrakes in the water which make it so stunning.

Anzali Lagoon (also Anzali Mordab, Anzali Bay, Pahlavi Mordab) is a coastal liman, or lagoon, in the Caspian Sea near the Port of Anzali, in the northern Iranian province of Gilan. The lagoon divides Port Anzali into two parts, and is home to both the Selke Wildlife Refuge and the Siahkesheem Marsh.
Although the lagoon suffers from pollution,it is known as a good place for bird watching.
The lagoon's water ranges from fresh near the tributary streams to brackish near the mouth into the harbor and the sea.
Bandar-e Anzali stands on both sides of the entrance to the the lagoon, though the port is mainly on the eastern side.

My husband and I went there last year. We rent a boat with 20 dollars. It was safe and they gave save jackets to us. Sailor was very kind and took a lot of photos of us but unfortunately he run out of fuel in the middle of the way and during filling its tank he polluted the lagoon. We objected politely but he ignored. The sightseeing was very beautiful and it's worth going there at least once.

Don't miss a bit of it, hire the best boat for the full tour. You'll pay about 30$ for the full 1 hour tour with the best boat but its definitely worth it.
Make sure you have your camera with you, ask the boatman to go slow, wear your life vest and don't drop your cigarettes in the lagoon.

Don't do it unless you're wanting a fast ride on a boat and very little else. The water is muddy, there is very little birdlife and the place seems dead. There are dozens of high-speed boats taking tourists for so-called thrill rides, no living thing has a chance to survive here. Give it a big miss if you don't want to add to the destruction - wish we had.

The prices for boat rides may vary in different places and it helps if you ask the place you are staying to recommend you a place so that you can bargain more. We went on a full ride with only 300 thousand tomans but there were places that charged more than 600 thousand for the same ride.
It is a must while visiting Bandar Anzali but you can’t go if it’s raining or the weather is bad.
The lotuses and buffaloes are beautiful. The birds who migrate are pretty special too.
