Offroaders destination
Oct 2020
I recommend this desert to all off-road lovers! Iran has many beautiful deserts although I prefer Shahdad more than others but this desert can be a good destination for offroaders!

A shiny Sky
Oct 2019
First of all, I have to say the best time to go to the Maranjab Desert is Autumn because at night it is too cold. So I and my friends went there in October with the tour. it was a fantastic experience for me. we danced and gathered by the fire and sang.
If you're reading this review I suggest you go there ASAP.

Maranjob castel
Sep 2019
this beautiful castle is located in the center of desert . I recommend this place because you can see salt lake and Sand dunes and also Maranjob castel in this route and if you are interested to see the sun set you can arrange so that be over there in that time and i think that the view of rays of sun and sun set is very beautiful and if you interested to see sky and moon with a lot of stars you can see in desert and stay in the castle which now it uses as a hotel too, I myself slept a lot of time in this castle and every time I want to go again and again I hope you experienced it some day.

Beautiful desert and salt lake, spectacular scenery, amazing photo location and great fun offroad driving!
Dec 2019
Located close to the city of Kashan, Maranjab Desert is a really beautiful desert in Iran.
With golden sanddunes, special vegetation and an amazing salt lake!
We came here on a private guided tour booked at our hotel Ameriha Boutique Hotel in Kashan.
The guide was a really nice guy who took us safely through the desert with his reliable Nissan Patrol 4x4.
We also did some really fun offroad in the sanddunes!
Really amazing place for photograhpy!
We spent apx 5 hours going from our hotel and coming back.
Recommended!

Worth a visit
Oct 2019 • Solo
I came here on a tour with my hotel. What can I say. Despite having been to several deserts before they always takes my breath away. The uniqueness of them, the vastness. I only spend half a day visiting them. But if you have never been to a desert before you can spend several days here.
Just go! You will not regret it!

I biked there this fall
Nov 2019
I stayed there one night. I biked there and liked it so much. I even stayed one night at Ali's place who is so generous.
I found those local people more friendly than those ones came there only for business and money. Fo example I liked Sepehr owner, hs is a nice camel man who lived there for a long time.

Forty kilometers from Aran and Bidgol city , there are sandy hills of Maranjab. In comparison to other desert site like shahrood , Keman and Sabsevar , it was not so clean , was crowded and I don’t recommend it to people who like nature but not bad for off-roading.there is hotel in Maranjab Karvanseray .

expensive
Oct 2019
We had a rental car but were not allowed to enter the desert with it. Rightfully because that Peugeot would get stuck in the sand. Instead we had to rent a 4x4 with driver which set us back 5M. Too expensive for the 85 km you drive with it. It is 40 km to reach the salt lake, which is only really nice when it has rained I suppose, because now it is just a brown surface. Not as white as the salt planes in Argentina and Bolivia. The desert itself is nice, though. The driver was kind enough to drive up a sand dune. So, my adivice is to haggle with the 4x4 driver.

Maranjab

located near Kashan city is one of the ancient desert cities of Isfahan province. It named by a castle around there from Safavid dynasty. It has a typical climate of hot and dry in summer, cold and dry in winter, and very little rainfall during the year.

High dunes and forests arch are the main attractions of this region. Most of the vegetation consists of Halophyte plants such as Tamarix trees, Haloxylon trees and Zygophyllum bushes.

Great discoveries
May 2019 • Friends
Because of its pristine location, these areas will spark curiosity and search in all adventurous people and throw them at their own pace. Sands of sand, special vegetation and animals, the sense of unknown discoveries, as well as the difficulty of descendants have a lot of charm.
Maranjab Desert is located in Isfahan province. From the north to the salt lake Aran and Bidgol, from the east to the Desert Rig and Desert National Park, from the west to the Desert Moselle and the salt lakes of the Houzd Sultan and Houz Murah and finally to the city of Aran and Bidgol from the south ends.
