I went for humanitarian work and visiting the beach after tsunami was one of the painful experience. I dont know when the Indonesia Gov will start work to restore this tourist venue but looking at Acheh , its long way to go PALU.

I came here to and witnessed the devastation of the recent tsunami and earthquake that hit Palu City. Talise Beach, a place where so many locals gather and have fun, fishing swimming and enjoying the sea breeze, became a total wreckage and it has became a "dead place". Hopefully, this place will recover soon.

Quite nice sunsets and view when there is a mist or clouds around the hills. But its always really hot yo walk around for long in Palu, plus there is rubish everywhere here bordering the roads. Often the air us reallynpoluted and smells bad. Be careful if considering swimming, crocodiles were seen around the Yellow bridge, recently. I would rather reccommend the view from the monument on the top of hill ( second picture), turn right from the main road towards Tadulako university.

It's not a beach for swim or vacation. It just a quiet beach in a city. But the view was amazing.. Beach, the bay and the mountain behind makes the view more perfect. But i can't handle the heat of the sun.. overheat for me..

Actually, the beach is so average. But it has a nice view to the mountains surrounding Palu bay. I has a nice spot to take (our) picture on ta small dock, and if you are bringing kids, there are plenty options for them to play. And you may try the street foods!

The beach is clean in some area while not in some area . You cannot do sunbathing here since the situation not supporting for that kind of activity . But , it's really a good thing to walk around this beach during sunset . This city is unique in term of the geographical area which surrounded by mountains and in the epicenter of the sun . Most of the time , the sky is clear and the sun appear bigger . Which is very pretty during sunset .
