We had a great experience because we were well prepared and experienced fit hikers. Trek information was a bit lacking as to what to expect (in regards to fitness required, terrain, conditions, water supply, medical emergencies). Fitness level: none of us had any idea how tough or easy this trek would be, based on the information provided. Although the actual... More

First of all: Thanks to Clare for all the help in planning our trip and not least answering the loads and loads of questions I had 😃 We had the time of our lives jungletrekking for 3 days with Adi and Avi who took extremely good care of the four of us and helped me out when the jungle was... More

We did the 8 day Aceh to Bukit Lawang Trek. From the beginning Clare's communication was prompt and very helpful. The guide and porters were great and very attentive when it was needed for the trickier river crossings. The trek starts with a homestay in a small Cacao growing village and then goes through pristine rainforest right until the last... More

The genuine caring & kindness from the guides & the helpers was beyond my expectations... Although the trek could be difficult & challenging, with the terrain, and the close proximity to the equator, I felt "safer" and more supported in the jungle with these beautiful people, than i did in my everyday city lifestyle! Im not as young as i... More

The expedition jungle tours were a big highlight of our Sumatra/Java trip. Murrad and Yetno were absolutely fantastic! I was thrilled with how knowledgable Murrad and Yetno are when it comes to conservation and ecotourism. Murrad has quite the drive and I know he will do great things for his community and Yetno has the best spirit and sense of... More

I could not recommend this trip enough. To be led through the jungle, continually only a stone throw from the orangutan (and numerous other long tailed primates!!) was an experience I'll never forget. The laughs we shared, games we played and delicious feasts we consumed. To our guides Eddy and Imam, you are two of the most beautiful, genuine and... More

We had such a wonderful experience both in setting up our tour with jungle expedition as well as the trip itself! Riding and washing the elephants was fabulous. Then trekking into the jungle to see orangutans was amazing. It was very hot but beautiful! The road between Tangkahan and Bukit lawang was really rough and it was about a 2... More

I am back from a jungle trek with Jungle Expedition. I can't say enough about how wonderful it was. The guide Yetno and his helpers, we're all amazing. We saw 19 orangutans, including a huge male - silver back gorilla sized, that accompanied us for a few hours on the side. There must have been 8 babies. It was so... More

I didn't have the right shoes for hiking the river section of the trail so one of the assistants walked bare foot for a day and half so I could use his shoes. There is not a single thing the guides could have done to make my experience any better or more comfortable. I would however have liked more info... More
