We did a 3 hour tour with a friendly and capable guide. It’s all up hill, starting with a steep climb, later more like u jungle path going up. We were lucky spotting a big male and a mother with a baby Orang Utang. The route is simply turning back the same route, so you can decide how far you want to go into the jungle. You have to be in medium to good shape to do this tour, but if you’re used to walking 5/10 K or you do some sports, you should be fine. If you’re touring Sumatra, this is a must have in your tour program.

Visited to undertake a jungle trek in search of Orangutans. Rooms are basic with only cold running water but the humidity means this is not an issue and the amazing outdoor features in the bathroom more than make up for it. Food was delicious. Truly wonderful experience
