Great place to set up a hammock and relax. Tailgating friendly, you can drive right up to the sand...and beyond if you dare. Not a place for swimming, although there is a very nice estuary - lagoon at the southern end. There are some eating,...More

This beach was only a short walk from where we were staying and it sloped gently and the black sand was soft and the water was warm. The waves were perfect for Boogie boarding and there were several surfers there also. A hotel just maybe...More

We were staying nearby and Playa Bejuco is the place to be for the best sunsets along the coast. The beach is clean and the very flat. Great also for running when the tide is lower.

Amazing sunset should be enough for anyone, sat with a cold beer for 45 mins watching it go down...perfect! Huge as well and you get that feeling of being on your own. Ride your bike on it if you get the chance!

This beach is very nice. The sunsets are amazing. There are lots of nice unbroken shells. It's pretty shallow and was great for my kids. The biggest selling point however is that you get to have it practically to yourself.

Lots of surfers here on weekends. Weekdays you will have the beach to yourself. Relax and enjoy the sun and surf.

Low tide you can walk for miles..love it. A surfing beach. Beware of rip tides..for real, do not let its beauty fool you.

The beach is stunning and often you can have a vast stretch to yourself . Sunsets are to die for and there are a surprising number of cafes , etc to go visit . The , occasional, bad part is that we have often been...More

I love Bejuco Beach as even though is not far fm San Jose (2 hours). It is quiet, long and wide and clean. There are lots of exotic birds like macaws nearby. Just be careful as there are rip currents in the area n strong...More

Playa Bejuco is beautiful, empty and has fantastic views. Unfortunately, every noon wast water is released to the sea, which leaves stinking brownish foam. A bit more awareness for the environment would help not only to preserve this beautiful place, but also to attract tourists
