About
Our guests will be greeted at the barn located steps away from the gorgeous beach. Here we will match you with one of our beloved horses and adjust your equipment and give you basic tips and instructions on how to ride. Once we are all set and ready, we will take our private trail to the beach that is one of the largest stretches in Central America. Crossing little rivers and riding where the jungle meets the ocean. Our horses are trained by a professional equestrian that uses natural horsemanship.

We had the best experience with Sylvia. I have never ridden a horse in my life and Sylvia was the perfect guide. She was patient and very understanding. You can tell she loves her horses and understands each ones personality. My husband rode Kiki and I rode Bastion. Bastion was a silly horse who loved to snack during the ride and was a very curious horse and semi easily distracted and Sylvia knew exactly how he was. She knew exactly what to say and how to keep him focused and on task. Bastion would sometimes stop and look around instead of following the other horses and we just had to pause with him because we knew how he was. He was full of character and silliness. We rode through her property and then off to the most secluded beach ever. All the beaches were public beaches but it was so quiet and relaxing. There was hardly anyone on the beach. Sylvia even offered to take pictures and videos of our horseback riding skills. We had a great time and learned a lot about horses from Sylvia. It was an awesome experience and I would definitely recommend it for first time horse back riders.

Was a total rip off beware and stay away from this place. If you want a nice horse back riding tour Jaco beach has the best.

Hi guys!
Unfortunately you arrived exactly 40 minutes late and the other guests on the same tour had plans so the tour left without you.
Our policy is no refunds unless we are informed 2 hours before, as we keep the spots and prepare the horses and equipment for you.
Please note that you were late and actually never experienced the tour with us! Thanks

Horses were unequally yoked. Booked a private couples ride. The guide did not match up the horses with the person. Rather, we were left riding at very different paces. Horses were tired and did not seem to want to even be out for a ride.Guide was promiscuous and flirty with spouse.

Attached below is a review from a private tour taken on the same day of yours done by Sylvia (owner/guide) so I don’t know what happened and we are extremely disappointed with the hate speech used.

We went out on four of Silvia's eight horses. The horses were beautiful, well trained, calm and gentle. Silvia was a fantastic guide, taking her time to explain riding to our daughter who was on a horse for the first time. A beautiful sunset greeted us all on the beach and on the way back, fireflies buzzed in the dusk. All together an awesome experience!

We had an excellent and relaxing time riding along the beach with Sylvia and her beautiful horses. She paired each of us with a horse perfectly. If you’d like a laid back ride along the water with gentle horses, come here!

My 11-year old daughter and I did a 2-hour beach ride today and I have to say it was beyond amazing! My horse-loving daughter was literally in heaven and didn't want it to end. The owner is so passionate about horses and it reflects in them - they are gorgeous, healthy horses and obviously well-treated. It was also a huge treat to get fresh, young coconuts from the tree to drink when we were thirsty. We seriously could not have asked for anything better. Thank you for the amazing day that will we will never forget!

Our group of four mature women with limited horse experience had a wonderful time riding on the beach with Sylwia. Our horses were well matched to each rider, easy to control and a pleasure to ride. Truly a wonderful experience on our Costa Rican adventure.

I would give this rating six stars if I could. This was an incredible experience, to ride horses along such a beautiful stretch of coastline. Sylwia was so kind and gracious and it’s obvious that the horses are well cared for and treated like her family. They were the most gentle horses and responded very well to my guidance, even though I consider myself a novice rider. We feel like the price of the experience was a great value and we look forward to riding here on our next visit to Costa Rica!

My daughter and I went on a wonderful sunset ride on the beach with Sylwia and her beautiful horses. We both have some experience with riding, and Sylwia was very confident in her well trained horses, so we were able to do some cantering, and we rode all the way to Esterillos Ouste, where my husband and son were surfing. It was amazing! Sylwia and Micha treat their horses very well - it is obvious that they are much loved members of the family. Our time with Sylwia exceeded my expectations.

I am an experienced rider, and asked for a private fast ride. Silwia gave me just that! It was a fun-filled two hour ride on her 17.3 hand gentle giant Holsteiner, an exhilarating experience! We walked, trotted and cantered on the gorgeous, almost empty beach. Silwia then took me to the coconut grove, and offered me a healthy refreshment from coconuts she had picked from a tree, an amazing experience! She will take out groups or individuals, beginners or experienced riders, and give her customers excellent service. Silwia is a knowledgable horsewoman, and her horses, that come in all shapes, sizes and breeds, are very well trained, happy and healthy. I can't wait to go back and ride with her again. The best riding experience ever!
