Rude and poor service attitude shamed the reputation of attraction
Oct 2011
I visited Emei Shan with my family, but the bus and park operator staff are very rude, and arrogant, tainted the name of Emei Shan. It started at the bus terminal near the Teddy Bear Hotel. When I told the ticketing counter staff that we wanted to buy park entrance and bus tickets, we were shouted at rudely, saying that they only sold bus ticket here. When I tried to ask where could we buy the park tickets, the counter girl rudely ignored us. After we got the bus ticket, we went to the boarding area. When I asked the staff there which is the bus to take, the girl just shouted rudely the bus number and then she started to chase all visitors up the bus. Finally the bus moved out. It made another stop at another terminal, picked up 4 more passengers. Then we finally reached the park main entrance. Then the worst park operator ruined our holiday mood. A man came up the bus and shouted in chinese several time, "Get off the bus if you don't have the park tickets!". When I tried to ask him where shall we buy the tickets, he simply ignore me and continue to chase people down the bus. Frankly, if I'm not travelling with my family, I would probably get off the bus and get out of Emei shan - despite how beautiful the place can be, it is ruined by the poor behaviour of the people!! So I endured the rude treatment and get off to buy tickets. And, we were greeted by another uncultured staff. It was then follow by a long ride up to a place called LeiPingDong car park, and another 1.5km ascend up to the cable car station. Well, the cable car station counter girl did not disappoint us with another rude and impolite treatment. And we were told the big cable car was not operating and we got to walk down to the small cable car. When I tried to get clear direction on the whereabout of the cable car, she started to shout and scream rudely. So, we ends up going round and round in that area before we found the cable car station. I am not going to describe much about the view up the Emei shan, as after all these rude treatments, the view no longer impress me.
