A man claiming to be the head of museum will be coming out to show off his credentials, after which he will claim to be running a charity campaign of buying wheelchairs for the disabled.
He will then state a price of RMB XXXX, and a gift token will be given to you as a token of appreciation.

Please do not fall for it. His credentials may be legitimate but the campaign definitely sounds dodgy.

The display is fine focus on natural heritage of Emeishan, the best part is maybe the Emeiquan display which is one of earilest martial art in China.

We could only get to the base of Emeishan and inorder to visit all the various temples and sites on Emeishan you need a full day. It was too late as we got there about 3pm. So best to note that you need to arrive around 9am latest inorder to go up and down in the same day.

There are roads for cars but you need to get a ticket to enter. We decided just to stay at the base and had lunch along the road leading to the gateway entrance. I do not know the name of the restaurant but they had cages of rabbits and chickens and fish tank and we made the mistake of ordering a fish. The owner himself weighed the fish at 1.1 kg and said that the fish cost RMB128, which we agreed, but after cooking, he charged us RMB450 for the fish and said that it was cooking charge. We had a local Chendu person with us and they argued but we decided to pay and just go off.

So beware of the restaurants along the road leading to Emeishan, i think it is a tourist trap. Even with a local person and being careful with asking the prices, we were taken for a ride. We were quite disgusted that I forgot to take the name of the restaurant.
