Quaint Temple
Apr 2019 • Business
It is at the top of a hillock and walking up is an experience in itself. There is a big statue of Buddha at the entrance and inside the varius buildings. What is different about the Fu Hu temple is the bigger than lifesize statues of 500 Arhats. Arhat is one who has gained insight into the true nature of existence and has achieved nirvana, but who may not have reached full Buddhahood. This hall is worth seeing.

We visited here before Baoguo Temple and found all of the monk here are female.

Get in again and you will find many praying room inside, and after the final step of praying room, you will be lead to a building on a top of the hill with 500 creatures of monk inside.

They said start to count in your heart from either left or right until your age right at that time, and make a wish.

I didn’t take a picture of those 500 monks and another creatures but i guarantee you this is incredibly recommended place for you to be visit if you go to Emei Mountain.

The temple is beautiful and a must see!

This is truly a hidden gem that you cannot miss when traveling Mount Emei. It is near the bottom of the hike and worth the visit to see the Temple and Monastery. The monks are very warm and helpful, though they do not know much English.

Be mindful of pilgrims and monks on the premises and courteous. This applies to be honorable and not using your camera within the temples.

Be sure to be mindful of the brook that weaves around the temple and monastery, because if you're not careful you may fall (I made that mistake when spending the night).

Don't forget to check out Arhat Hall to choose your Buddha and get your card (you will need it translated).

Fuhu Temple
Mar 2017 • Couples
Fuhu Temple is one of the temples on Emei Mountain. There is a well kept area, in one hall there are a few hundred statues. It’s interesting to spend some time there. One one side of the temple there are a few vendors selling souvenirs. In March, I guess it is Sichuan orange season. We bought a few, they are sweet and juicy and reasonably priced.

One of the temples we visited while at Emeishan. Very pretty. We paid for our rides on the electrical golf cart so we did not have to hike up here.

Beautiful temple!

I loved this temple. Set in the mountains, it was picturesque and lovely. It was only perhaps 45 minutes into the hike but it's worth a stop. It's free, and the monks were warm and friendly.

All these Buddhas with unique faces

One of the easier places to get to. Peaceful, definitely worth a look, and not just for all the Buddhas. beautiful old architecture, just take a stroll and look around. Nice walk up and down to the site through the forest, or take a golf cart.

At the bottom of the mountain
Jul 2015 • Couples
This is another temple at the foot of the mountain which you can visit on the first day. You may take shuttle bus ride to save your energy for the next day for climbing up to the summit.
