If you hike it will take you hours, or just take a bus, cable car and there is still walking after that. But when you get to the top it is worth it. The views are spectacular - you are above the clouds and if they clear then there is even better viewing. Take water - you can buy along the way, wear good shoes and hat and sunscreen are a must.

For best experience you should invest at least one full day into this trip. It takes quite long time (2 hours) to climb mountain by bus and then still necessary to take cable car. But all the natural attractions of the route are being lost in this case. So actually this mountain is great challenge to hike, but definitely worth to do. At the top you will get great-taking view, especially if clouds will not be too thick.

You need to put on walking shoes because there is a big walk to the top of the mount Emei. Don't forget sunscreen as you will go above the clouds. This is a magical trip. The place is so well decorated. This is huge ! There is a cable car to help you climbing up and down the mountain. During your trip you have sights of chineese impressive landscapes. This is really unaccustomed ! When you reach the top this is breathtaking and you can see the "sea of clouds" as long as the golden temples and statues.
If you are lucky you can see monkeys during the way back to the buses (if you walk down the stairs).

What a trip, walking, gondola, and more walking. But the view of the this magnificent attraction is worth ever ache and pain. Rain when I went but still was glad I went
