Spent one night here as part of an intrepid tour. Arrived in the dark after a full day's hiking, so really pleased to find this peaceful, unique lodging. Rooms were upstairs to one side of the prayer spaces. Some of the group were in larger dorm style rooms. Our room had two large canopied beds. Clean, basic, functional space. Expect to wake to chanting in the early hours! Communal showers are available - just used to rinse off. Toilets were a highlight! Slightly al fresco and of the traditional communal squat variety! All part of the adventure. Cats and stick insects were included in the stay. A privilege. Must recommend Hard Wok Cafe for food and drink, you pass it at the last set of steps - splendid food!

Tripadvisor calls this an attraction - for us it was accommodation. they rented us a room inside the temple w/ 4 beds a short walk from either (of 2) bathrooms. it was a very unique experience to say the least. halfway up the mountain we felt cozy and protected. it rained all night but we were plenty warm - the manager even gave us extra blankets at our request though ultimately we didn't need them. the temple had showers but we weren't compelled so don't know how good they were - looked fine though. we opted for dinner "out" - 4 minute walk down to the "Hard Wok Cafe" - really great gem - kids raved so much they convinced us to come back for breakfast though my wife and i had breakfast [first] at the temple - which was perfectly fine (rice, seasoned/fried tofu, and a variety of vegetables).

Peaceful place. First temple we went to, as we started from Qingyin Pavillion. People were very friendly

We stopped here to fill our water bottles with free boiling water. Followe Hot footed Joe's advice and did the 2.5 hour brutal hike up to Xianfeng temple to sleep. Glad we got that part of the trail over with but Hongchunping definitely looked like a nicer place to stay, and I loved the troop of ladies doing tai chi out front. Several reasonable food options, including the temple which was 30rmb for diner, but we didn't eat at any of them.

They had photos and price listings in English.
