This road to the beach still needs to be repaired. Entry is paid, whether it's field staff or local residents.. if it's afternoon and you're going to sit in a gazebo type place (locals call it lopo) it's paid.. but you can use shade in the form of a straw tent.. the cleanliness of the beach must be maintained so that it doesn't reduce its beauty. a combination of beach, sunset + stretch of beach sand..

Last December my wife and I visit this beach. Have to admit that the water at this beach is clear blue, however the surrounding area was not that maintain, lots of rubish specialy the mineral water botle are in the premises. It is a shame that the local government don't put an effort to make this beach beautiful. It's just like a stranded beach, with lost of garbage.
Comparing the time and effort to go here, it's just a shame feeling that we got.

This is a good beach with clear water, but the access to get there is still poor, very limited public toilet, limited restaurant, and many garbage on the beach, the local overly charges parking fee - Rp25k, NTT tourism body must do a lot of improvement... this can be a very pitential tourism spots

Having written a great review about this beach previously, upon return, I was astonished that i was charged rp50000 just to sit and another 50000 when I left for parking my car. This was on top of the usual entry fee. Outrageous! Tourists, do not visit here. They are thieves.

If you looking for sunset spot, you have to put this beach on your list. Just make sure you arrived on time around 4.30 pm so you can enjoy the sunset view here.

The water is so blue it’s beautiful.
Yet it is not very well developed, I guess..

You can swim here cause the waves are considered calm.

It took about an hour from the center of the city to reach the beach.
You can use car, motorcycle, or rent an ‘angkot’. The road is not really good, it’s rocky, and no road lamps so it is better to go home before it’s getting too dark (unless you rent a local driver).

There is a small ‘warung’ which sell noodles & drinks, and a few gazebos for us to sit.

Go here when it’s sunny, and you’ll end up witnessing a beautiful sunset.
Go here when it’s rainy, and you might get a chance to catch a rainbow. (I’ve been there two times on rainy days and I’ve seen a very clear rainbow two times. 😍)

Very hot sunny spot, wonderful seawater colors, tree shade in the little resort, unusual subjects for pics, drying seaweeds, mangroves, golden beach. Very few people there, fresh coconut water to drink.

the beach is awesome, however you have to find a nice, good spot out of the picnic crowd. There was some guy collect the entrace fee, (not soo expensive) but don't know where the money goes, plastic crap all over the places.

Not much there and quite a distance from Kupang, but it is a good place to hang out and to see the sunset.

The beach is about 25 km from Kupang but the road is pretty bad in many parts, so it takes a while to get there. Heaps of small villages and many churches along the way. Once through the entry gate (small fee $2) the road is worse but you start to see the water. The beach has quite a few entry points all with seating and huts which are all run down and old.( like most of Kupangs' attractions) The sand is white , the water blue. A nice adventure
