A long awaiting visit, me and my spouse had visited the temple during beginning of March'21. During our stay, we visited the temple for multiple times for darshan, Pooja and Aarti. All arrangements like, stay at Sai Ashram Bhaktiniwas, Abhishek Pooja, Sai Satyavrat (Satyanarayana) Pooja and Dhoop Aarti (Evening) were pre-booked through Temple’s online service at nominal rate.

The overall arrangements and management of Temple by the Trust is excellent. During our multiple visits to temple for darshan, Pooja and Aarti, we had not faced any difficulties, all were well managed. We were late and missed Doop Arati, instead we were allowed for Shej Aarti (Night) with the same booking. We were lucky that during our stay, it was less crowded and with VIP ticket, we could do the darshan within relatively quick time and peacefully. In addition, during Pooja and Aarti, we were allowed to enter the main temple through different gates and could do the darshan from distance.

The temple has number of gates. Entry to temple is allowed via free pass or paid pass. While free pass is available at dedicated counters at Trust Guest houses and temple gates, paid pass most probably available at temple gates only. One has to check carefully the entry points. No mobile / camera is allowed inside the temple and hence the rush of photo op is also absent, a right decision for maintaining the tranquility of the temple.

There are several small shops and street hawkers, selling Rose, prasad etc., one may buy from them at bargain. Also there could be local agents for hotel, restaurants and travel, one may like to negotiate, if necessary. After all the local economy heavily depends on the temple devotees.

The overall experience was heavenly, one can spent several hours in the temple to feel the divinity

The temple premises were neat and clean, security very kind and helpful. I would request that crowd management should be more efficient and catering to common people who come for darshan based on their explicit faith on Sai Baba. There are separate places dedicated to the darshan of constitutional and VIP persons. No such dedicated queue is there for devotees who have paid for darshan. After only a brief stretch of queue, all paid devotees are merged with other devotees, and there's too much pushing and jostling among crowds. Please check how queues are moving. We had taken paid darshan to avoid crowd, as we are senior citizens and cannot climb the stairs up and down amidst pushing and near stampede, especially on Sunday. Please consider the senior citizens who want darshan of Baba peacefully.

Thank you.

We're just back from Shirdi, the place we love to visit every year. Because of the bandh declared on 19th January, we had a very peaceful darshan. Not much crowd, no hawkers, no distractions. The security inside the temple were also very patient and well behaved with the devotees. We were very happy with the most satisfying darshan seeking Baba's blessings. Om Sai Ram 🙏

Must visit. Should not miss and everything can be booked through online. Do not trust Oyo in Shirdi. Oyo cheating customers. I have been cheated by oyo. They changed hotel which is booked 3 months back and shifted to ordinary hotel with double charges. Be careful.

Must visit atleast once in life time. I have hardly seen such a spiritual and serene place. I regularly visit this temple and always leaves me with the same contended feeling. The trust are maintaining the temple and its compound neat and clean. A little bit of walking is required though

Darshan were very smooth amidst good arrangements from trust. However, persuasion from local agents for stay and parking was very erratic. Better find stay in Sai Ashram with cleanliness and simplicity.

Excellent darshan, 7 of them in one and half days. Staying at Sai Jashan helped. It was walkable though the hotel offers drop and PickUp service.

In this visit after two years, found Gate no.2 closed. Every devotee has to get free general pass. One has to walk little over 500 meters from gate number 1. Finger printing is done. There are many counters. 2 separate counters for senior citizens .
A single Senior citizen counter is also located near gate no.2 which also has counter for shoes and mobile phones.

Sr.citizen passes are free too. One person can accompany if the Sr.citizen is above 70 years. If the Sr.citizen is above 60 years and below 70 years, then only spouse can accompany.

Be sure to carry a govt ID card. Aadhar card works the best.
Entry for Sr.citizen with free pass is at gate no.3.
Others can enter from gate no. 4 or 1. Gate no. 2 was found closed during my visit.

The change is that Udi packet is given first then the bhoondi Prasad packet. There are two to three separate lines and well regulated.

Keep away from touts. You may be aware that Shirdi sansthan runs tea/coffee and Prasad counters. Tea costs just 2 rupees.

Tea/coffee is opposite the auditorium area which is between gate no.2 and 3.

I visited this month (Jan 2020)., Booked my VIP passes online. Though due to flight delay I need to book it again at the airport. Before entering you need to submit your shoes and mobile at their counter. You can also do it with any shop keeper but better to avoid that. As a VIP pass you will skip a long que and finally meet the all devotees at the entrance of the main temple. Before leaving they will give a small packet of prasada. I choose the afternoon time to visit and it didnt take much time. You will get many hotels near by to stay.

Was our first trip.

Wonderful place.. Sai Baba is mesmerising.. Had great darshans of him.

The place itself is clean - not just the temple - even the surroundings.. Good aspect is that no body does anything here for money.. it is all organized well.. Booking online for the pooja, aarti and darshan really helps.. It is streamlined and flows through smoothly.

The temple itself has a few other places around apart from Samadhi Mandir - Gurusthan, Lendi Bagh, Museum at Dixit Wada, Shani, Ganesh and Shiva Shrines, Haji Baba Samadhi etc.

Outside the gates are Dwarakamai, Chavadi, Haji Babas house, Maruti Mandir and on the opposite side of the main road is Khandoba temple as well.

Its a great experience to go around and have the darshan as well.

God Bless.

i booked an Orange travels bus to Shirdi, which also got me the accomodation in a hotel where i stayed. Below are the highlights of my visit to Shirdi.
1. Hotels provide drop only facility(usually) to the temple, whose van drop you at Gate-4 of shirdi temple. There, the prasad shopkeepers will ask you to keep your shoes and valuables with them and offer prasad, chaadar, etc. Please dont be naive to purchase Prasad from them, though you can opt for Chaadar, and other materials.
2. Dont leave your valuables and your shoes with these shopkeepers, as there is this facility available @ GATE-1 of Shirdi Temple. You can keep both. Purchase prasad too from Gate-1 itself, the quantity in each packet is huge and in 100Rs you get 3-4 packets of Prasad.
3.Once you have taken Chaadar or Thali from the shopkeeper dont wait for them for further instructions directly head to Gate-1.

@ Gate-1 follow the below Instructions:
1. You can opt for online Darshan/Aarti before heading to Shirdi(Dont forget to take the printout of the same, as the struggle increases if you dont have 1.)
2.By chance you didnt took the printout and left your phone with the Prasadshop/Flowershop at GATE-4, u need to walk barefoot about half-a-km to get your phone as a proof of booking...so only dont make the mistake of keeping your phone/shoes with the Prasad-shop and not taking the printout.
3.If you have the printout you can @ Gate-1 itself, head for the counter, show UR ID PROOF, and take the biometric token..
4. Also the Prasad shopkeepers offer for the token they have. these are 7 in nos. and cost 30 rs each which sums to 210. Please dont fall prey to this ideology, if u have already booked the online Darshan.Even if you have not booked for online Darshan/AArti please read the pointers below.
5. Once you have received the token you can directly head to Gate-3, which is directly open for VIP Darshan. It takes approx. 25mins to stand in the line and get the darshan.

Without the online booking for Darshan:
1. In this case you can directly head to Gate-1 of the temple, join the line, show your ID PROOF at the counter, pay Rs.200,get the token and head to Gate-3 of the temple for VIP darshan.
2. after taking tokens u can submit your shoes and valuables at the counters at Gate-1.

Rest of the pointers for this remains the same as above(read the pointers for Online booking)

No booking/ and no tickets for online darshan:
In this case, at Gate-4, you need to join the queue of the fellow followers to get Darshan, which may take upto 4hours.

Happy Darshan...--- Imp pointers:
1. Dont forget to take the printout of the online darshan.
2.Dont forget to take the ID proof.
3.Dont take the passes from the shopkeepers if you have already booked online darshan.
4.Better to start your temple visit From GATE-1.
5. Dont leave your shoes/ mobile phones with the prasad/flower shopkeepers as this facility is already available at GATE-1.
