Ok, so this review is a household average. Kids say 5 out of 5 excellent. They loved the animals especially the baby donkey, the Odysseus story pieces and a drink at the café. My other half says terrible. 2 hours of his life that he won't get back. My view was that this is a nice place to visit with small children when you need a break from the beach. It has great potential and you must remember it's new. Don't go expecting a full on UK animal park experience but the reward is that you won't pay anything like as much money to get in.

Nice mix of theme park and small zoo. Includes some animals endemic only in Cephalonia, like the horse and sheep breeds. The exhibits are very nice for kids interested in mythology. The wooded area makes the sun much milder than it would otherwise be, as most of the path in in the shade. A little cafe next to the little Trojan horse playground is very nice to rest and relax. Ideal for 1 to 1 and a half hour visit (it is not a huge theme park). To make the most of it, kids should wear trainers (not flip flops, as there are small thorns etc). Staff was very helpful and pleasant, and kids (all under 5 in our case) paid no ticket. The parking area is free and has some shade.

I loved it when I went with my wife. Took my cousin and his wife and their 18 month old son.we all liked it a lot
I understand that it's the life of Odysseus and the ten years it took him to get home and the lands he visited
The animals looked happy and healthy
One recommendation .
Can you have some more wild life idiginous to Kefallonia and Ithaki

Odysseus Zoo Land has been one of the highlights of our holiday in Kefalonia! All of our group are aged 18 and over, and we all enjoyed it so much! We had elderly members in the group too, and they enjoyed the walk around with no problems. A fantastic idea to combine Greek Mythology with the animals linked to the stories. Constantina, at the front desk, was so kind and very passionate about her work! We went to the Zoo Land after going to Melissani Cave, and this worked really well. Highly recommend! There is also lots of shade around the Zoo, great for the hot weather! Thank you Constantina for your hospitality and kindness! :)

My wife and I had a lovely time here seeing the animals and exhibits. On a hot day the shade of the trees was very welcome. The various trees were helpfully labelled as were the often amusing large scale models showing Odysseus’s adventures and travels. You’re never too old to muck around on the Trojan Horse slide for a bit of social media showing off. The staff are all very pleasant.

A really nice experience combining the story of Odyseuss’s journey and a small zoo featuring local animals. The theme park is well designed and managed and the animals are taken care of. It offered an interesting, relaxing activity and was especially fun for children. The person who worked at the ticket office was also really informative and friendly.

Weather forecast for the day was overcast so a bit googling and we thought this place was worth a visit. Lovely telling of some Greek mythology along with plenty of animals to see. Staff were all friendly and helpful and it was a welcome change from the beach on a cloudy day.

We were really unsure as to what to expect from this unassuming attraction near to Sami - we’d looked online prior to our holiday, and driven past a number of times during our stay and couldn’t quite work it out. We finally decided to give the place a try and we were really pleasantly surprised! It isn’t a massive attraction, but it was lovely to pass a couple of hours having a walk round, learn about the myth of Odysseus and take a look at all the animals associated to the story! I visited with my Wife and two young children (10 & 4) and we all had a great time. It cost us about 20 euros. The staff were all incredibly friendly and great to talk to, the facilities (cafe bar, toilets, and general areas) were all really clean and tidy, and there was even a Trojan horse with slide for the kids to play on for a short while! All in all, a great place to spend an hour or two having a walk round!

Really cosy little zoo with typical greek animals!

Also a lot of greek mythology explained with big figures. If You pass by You have to visit it! Entrance was €6 and its a fair price. Support this mini zoo and the greek People!

Great place for everyone. Place where you can find a connection of zoo and history of Odysseus. Good thing is that most of the area has a shade thanks to the trees above so whenever is too sunny you dont need to worry about.
Service is very professional and friendly( with good sense of humour).
We had a great time there. Its not crowded which is also a good thing.
Plenty of space for free parking in front of the place( shade also). Very relaxing place. Highly recommended!
