My partner and I really enjoyed this night walk around old Vejer with Marimantas. These young people conveyed the troubadour tradition of Vejer through songs and legends with so much enthusiasm and love. It was a magical adventure giving a sense of what it must have been like in times gone by when oral history was a significant element of one's culture.

This was a great activity/event. It starts at 9 PM. www marimantasvejer com. We loved it. Escuchamos leyendas y cuentos con hermosas canciones. It is a must to do it.

This tour was fabulous and Jose has a beautiful voice. It was very informative and you learn a lot about the history of Vejer.

My husband and I did this walking tour during our short stay in Vejer. It was a real highlight of our visit and I would highly recommend. The tour is musical-there are two men and various other 'actors' that provide the theatrical part of this. The singer wrote all of the songs himself and crafted the story which interweaves folklore and the history of Vejer. Extremely creative and enjoyable. Loved it!

I would recommend this for the atmosphere created by the experience and for the chance to see the castle by night. If your Spanish is fluent I'm sure this is a 5 star experience. However, we joined an evening with English translation advertised. It is certainly not a full translation of the experience so could disappoint. If you are happy to go with the flow and soak up the atmosphere then I would say go for it. I enjoyed the experience but one of my group was very frustrated. To be fair to the organisers they were very apologetic and were quick to give a refund.

I'm sure you will find the experience unique, and funny. The first few minutes you will be travelling to the past like ancient times, when troubadours were telling the king stories about the life in the city or some gossips of the closer neighbours. You must do it.

Cuánto dura aproximadamente el tour? Quisiera reservar después para cenar en el jardÃn del califa, se nos harÃa muy tarde para cenar? Graccias

Buenas tardes,
el tour dura aproximadamente una hora y media. Muchos de nuestros clientes hacen la visita con nosotros y luego cenan en El JardÃn del Califa, asà que no habrÃa ningún problema. El único problema es que, según nos consta, El Restaurante El JardÃn del Califa no tiene sitio para cenar hasta septiembre (está a full de reservas).

Buenas tardes Jesús. Mejor reservar con antelación, sobre todo en temporada alta ya que solemos tener bastante demanda. El precio es de 8€ por persona.
