If I remember correctly this trail is marked as hard but for someone in their early 30's whose fit, I'd say it was more on the intermediate scale. I had read reviews before going and decided not to do the loop. We went up to...More

I have not done much hiking in the Cabot trail (only 4) but this one was my favorite. A fair challenge and a nice view on top. I have done the loop but would recommend just to do the viewpoint and back as the rest...More

Went up the steep but excellent main trail. Well worth the effort for the views at the top. We took the fire road down, which was uneventful and we did not see wildlife (or other people). This was among our favourite hikes.

We hauled our bike to Cape Breton to experience the roads, mountains and WOW what a cruise! We had chilly weather and sunny skies, and we were thrilled to have experienced this ride, finally!

Can be a bit steep (For Southern Calfornians - if you have hiked Echo Mountain, you can do this) but the trail path is gorgeous, you don't really mind it and did not feel dangerous - the views up top are so worth it.

It's a steep 4km uphill with wooden steps to assist along the trail.then it's a gentle slope going down. It's a sunny hike so make sure you have sunscreen, hat and water! As you peak the top make sure you look behind for views too....More

This was a pretty steep climb. The views were okay. The river was dried out so we didn't have a chance to see that. The day we went it was pouring rain and the rocks and the stairs became even more slippery which was very...More
