- Natalie R18 contributionsPeace and amazing sea viewsBeautiful beach in wide bay accessed from Kavos via rough, dusty track through trees. Possible to drive but requires serious off-roading skills and not for faint hearted! Walking the track took about 20 mins as we left car at road side and went on foot. Very hot and dusty but worth it for view. Sea cool and beautiful aqua colour. Small beach shack and limited amount of loungers for 4 euros each and also sells cold drinks. That's the only commercial activity there, so take food and water. Very peaceful and possible to find bit of beach to yourself and just listen to the waves.Visited July 2023Traveled soloWritten July 21, 2023

It was a bucket list tick to horse ride on the beach and we were the only ones there! I imagine as it is quite off the beaten track it doesn’t get that busy.Visited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 23, 2023

The journey took us past a charming taverna, where we couldn't resist a refreshing stop both on the way there and back. The beach was serene during our visit, likely because it was early in the season and at a quiet time of day. Complete with a cozy cabin serving drinks, available sunbeds, and breathtaking views of the deep blue sea and sky, it was an absolute paradise. What an incredible find!Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 17, 2023

Walked to this beach from Kavos, and it took about 45 mins. Some of the road/trail is quite steep, but there are plenty of shady areas to stop and catch your breath. Walking would be hard work in flip flops, so trainers are the best option. If you are in a car the road takes you all the way to the beach carpark, although some people choose to park along the road (it is generally perfectly safe for any vehicle, the first section from Kavos going uphill needs some caution).
The beach is clean and long, but not deep/wide; facilities are very limited (no toilets or showers) just the drinks shack run by the sun beds man. Sun beds were 4 euros each in Sept 22.
It is well worth a visit, but it is difficult to imagine being there for a full day.

Beautiful hike from kavos to beach and to monastary. Worth checking out. Went about 7pm to beach hardly anyone there spent an hour there. Great spot for a bit of peace quiet and relaxation. Very busy during day according to locals during high season. There's a kantina on the way does lovely food worth visiting.

After a 40 minute hike up and down some pretty challenging roads/dirt tracks we stumbled across this secluded unspoilt beach. We enjoyed it so much we went several times and were never disappointed. The beach was almost deserted when we went each morning, I'm not sure if it got busy in an afternoon as we usually left by midday. At the entrance there are approx 30 loungers for rent (€3 for the day) and a little hut selling ice cold water for 50 cents a bottle and a small range of soft drinks and beers. We found the central part of the beach to be rocky underfoot as you entered the sea but if you walked further down the beach this changed to sand. The sea was quite calm and, even as a nervous swimmer, i felt comfortable going to shoulder level as the depth increased gradually. We walked there and back but others made the journey by car, quad bike and scooter, however, be warned, the road is full of potholes and rocks so probably not a comfortable journey! There's a small carpark at the beach entrance if you do take a vehicle. I'd say walk if you're fit enough because the scenery is beautiful and just adds to the natural unspoilt experience.
To get there follow the sign for the monastery, part way up the road branches into 2, left for the monastery and right for the beach, take the right and follow until you reach the beach.

The beach is about 2.5 km (20-30min) walking from Kavos ministrip. It is a long walk, unpaved, with stones and pebbles - recommend to wear shoes/trainers/hiking boots. Also recommend using insect spray and carry water as the walk is through the countryside hiking over a small hill, under direct sunlight the walk can be a bit grilling.
But it is all worth it - the tranquil beach is much cleaner than Kavos beach and it is shallower, so water appears to be warmer and has natural breaking waves
There are no facilities on the beach (umbrella, bar, changing room, sunbed) at the time of visit but I understood that the beach is manned during peak seasons.

a beautiful beach, arranged with sunbeds and umbrellas. there is also a small shop that sells coffee, beer, water and juices but without any food. there are no toilets. a bad idea to leave kavos by bike to get there. the road has a lot of slopes and you push more on the bike. it can be reached on foot from the main asphalt road for about 30-40 minutes or by car. it is a dusty road, it goes through the forest and crosses the island in width. although he walks through the forest, he is in full sun. the water is extraordinary. very clear. deep near the shore. so you can swim for pleasure.
