We hired a scooter and visited here, lovely and the views are amazing, the track was a bit rocky, but worth it when you see the views

Quiet Reverie Ruins

It is perhaps the culmination and a place of interest in the middle of a nice walk (appx 40 mins from Kavos)The walk becomes a woodland one after the clearing near the coast that provides good views out to Paxos. The clearing perhaps was once a place to park cars, but at the time of the visit only a 4x4 would negotiate a particularly rocky part of the dirt track. If driving ,advice is to leave car where others do just before this point but be warned that the track generally isn't too car friendly (it is wide but stoney/bumpy) Otherwise, those on moped, quad or mountain bike can go further. We did see one moped at the monastery, tho this would be somewhat unadvisable, and certainly not to go past it on the trail downhill where only an on foot experience should be sought (unless you are into Motocross)
The monastery itself is in ruins and its position has lovely views out to sea (steep drops near this point) Check out the well or light candle outside the main doors.
At this stage you can return the way you came or carry on past the monastery and head downhill where the path becomes more uneven/narrower. At the bottom it splits into 2 and if you go right /uphill one is under the assumption that the path will run out as the bushes close in. However with a few more paces, you will emerge back onto the wide dirt track where going right takes you back (uphill) to the place where the track splits between monastery and Arkadoullis beach. Left takes you appx 250 metres to that beach.

Beautiful spot with amazing views
Oct 2019
Well worth the walk to the top. Beautiful landscaping surrounds you everywhere as you ascend to the monastery. Arches add to the beauty and the views of the beautiful blue bays is one of Corfu's most beautiful spots. You can see secluded coves with lovely beaches and mountain villages.

Stunning views
Sep 2019
It’s a bit of a climb but well worth it for the views. Wherever you stop the views are amazing . You can go in different directions and get a 360* views and that’s just the landscape. To enter the monastery itself ladies must be covered but they have shoulder wraps and skirts for you to put on . The building is beautiful , so serene . The little church is stunning and the gardens are also beautiful . There was a couple of monks around to answer any questions. The restaurant has views to die for. Taking your camera is a must

well worth the visit
Aug 2019
long long walk to the monastery, I took a quad bike up there , then I relaxed on the lovely secret beach on the way back.
It is a rough road in places, but accessible to cars with care (access to the beach is better)
Well worth the visit

It was quite a walk to find it and wasn't really well signposted but we kept walking and found it and I'm glad we did, it's a lovely little place with amazing views. Worth the extra walk to find it.

quite a long walk in 34 degree heat, took plenty of water, watch out for ants, spiders and small snakes on the walk, nothing venomous or scary though

A nice walk
Jun 2019 • Couples
Roughly 4 miles up and down from kavos through the winding forestry road with some spectacular views across the sea. the ruins are only just there. You can drive some of the way up if you cant be bothered to walk but you will not get a vehicle to the ruins.
