Lake Vättern is one of Swedens most butiful lakes with cristal clear water and many oportunities for a swin (even if the water can be a bit cold). Don't miss a visit in Motala harbour and the long sandy beach Varamon.

The lake is like a sea and the water is clear nerby Motala. In some areas its rocks and then sandbotton. In August there are some areas that you are allowed too fish crayfish.

Motala offers the nicest sandy beach. Miles of silky sand. The only down-side is that the water rarely gets really warm. There are nice cafes and restaurants along the beach and there is also a Youth Hostel. The southern tip of the lake is not...More
