About
This series of unique rock formations on Corfu’s northwestern coast create narrow channels and small bays that are ideal for swimming. Climb the cliffs for stunning views of the beautiful landscape and the Ionian Sea. There aren’t many spots to sunbathe, but the shallow blue waters make for good swimming and snorkeling—explore hidden coves and small caves you can swim under. Canal D’Amourets gets very busy during the day—visit towards the evening for a peaceful sunset, or stay at the resort and hit the beach early. Watch out for cliff jumpers when you’re in the water. – Tripadvisor

    Eternal love within reach!
beautiful and whimsical natural phenomenon! The white chalk cliffs and the bright blue water complete it completely. Our friends swam through the Canal d'Amour and found eternal happiness! You must see it when you are in Corfu.

Going through the cave is incredible. What a shame how touristy it is!
The site is spectacular from an aesthetic perspective since they are coves with small cliffs that border them. Also, in one of them there is a cave that passes the cliff through the sea (the sensation is unique). The bad thing is that it is overcrowded (not as many people because we went in May) but in the surrounding area (many beach clubs, souvenir shops, etc.). I don't want to imagine what summer can be like there!

    Too touristy.
The place is beautiful but too touristy: the beach in the gorge was so crowded that you couldn't stop there and the water was murky due to how many people there were. It is also surrounded by bars, restaurants, swimming pools and music. Worth seeing but in uncrowded periods

    definitely worth a visit
Nice place, which you should definitely visit. You can admire the 'Canal d' amour' from the rocks. If you rent a pedal boat on one of the nearby beaches it is even more beautiful to visit this place. ( EUR 20 per hour )

I would go again, but not clean water.
Very beautiful picturesque place with parking right above the beach as there is a theme with parking attention is 5 euros the entrance to the parking lot. Very shallow the sea is worth swimming and entering the cave from the rocks and going out on the opposite banks where the water is frozen as at the beginning it is very hot and I would say dirty because of the closed space and a lot of people respectively. Anyway I would go back to the only negative non-clean waters in this particular!

Great experience for those who can access the area
The Canal D’Amour area is a 15 minute walk from the centre of Sidari (the strip/main beach). The walk to it is fine but once you get closer, the walk becomes more difficult. It’s narrow in places and steep and can be quite slippy. The steps down to the little beach to access the water are very unstable; the bottom two steps were missing when we visited. There isn’t much room to sunbathe on the beach due to its size and popularity. But you can find a space on the rocks! Swimming in the water is a great experience, you can swim through a cave that joins the two bays together. The clay in the cliff sides is also fabulous as a face mask! Those more adventurous can jump from the cliffs into the water. It’s a great place to visit but only for those who are pretty mobile.

    Overrated
Overrated place, features the shape of the clay rocks, but nothing spectacular. Sea cloudy due to 'clay, beach practically nonexistent. You can take nice dives. In the average, if you have little time to visit Corfu you can also avoid in favor of beaches with crystal clear sea (Paleokastritsa, Liapades, Paxos antipaxos etc.)

Canal D'Amour short stop for a visit
Particular place for its rocky conformation, the reflection of the water and the panorama. Not far from the center of Sidari, where leaving the car is not very easy, this place is very popular rather touristic with numerous clubs and accommodation facilities. Very popular is worth a stop to visit, if you are lucky to find a small place on the beach you can take a swim. The expectations were higher, still worth a visit.

Beautiful location for a while but....
Very beautiful location, cinematic, ideal for photos and a dive. The beach too small with rocks for dives. There is a hotel there with a small beach and sun loungers that serves and bathers who are not guests of the hotel. Of course it is best to see it for a half hour and take a bath at the beach bar that is on the adjacent coast. Upon your arrival you give 5 euros to the car park which is right in front of the canal, which is private.

    Nice view - lost bathroom
The view was very beautiful. Access is easy although parking was paid ( 7€).If you stay near there and go very early in the morning I imagine you will find a place to sit. We got there 11:30 and you didn't stand anywhere from so much crowd. We took 1 hour to get to our hotel and I'm not sure if it was worth it. We dive into dirty waters from so many people and went to the adjacent beach to sit down. If you are with a small child the stairs you have to go down to the beach are difficult.

Very small beach, perhaps too much to accommodate all visitors, especially in high season. During the week it pays to occupy a place from 9:00/9:30 max, on the weekend even earlier. Beautiful cave where you can swim inside and beautiful view from above. Parking at 5€ all day close to the beach. Definitely a beach to visit!

We were staying in Sidari and visited the Canal D'Amour twice. On both visits, the beach area was very busy but once you get into the water and start swimming it is lovely. Clear water and lovely swimming, the rock formations are so beautiful. On one of our visits and newly married couple arrived for their wedding photos which added to the lovely atmosphere there. The wooden steps down to the beach are steep and on our second visit one of the steps was broken which made getting to and from the beach difficult so be careful. This attraction is busy and attracts large crowds so go early and enjoy the beautiful water and rock formations.

Unfortunately, the same thing happened here as with all the former "insider tips": it is completely overcrowded! If you don't want to fight with hundreds of other tourists for the little space, all you can do is take photos and then leave. But then you only see more bathers and tourists in the photos than anything else.

The Canal d’Amour located in Sidari must be dreamed of by its name, but that stops there!
I still can't understand what interest a tourist can have in this place: from a geological point of view, there is little interest... these clay cliffs have absolutely nothing impressive... only coves in the world surpass this dirty place crowded with tourists, who swim here without certainly knowing why, in dirty water, with at least particles of clay diluted in the water… it's not the Maldives!! !
The favorite local sport is to throw yourself several meters into the water to show your temerity...
And yes, they are reckless to bathe in such dirty water!!!

As for the mass tourism side, this is certainly the heart of the problem: it is creating a story from scratch to attract tourists and make money off their backs...
5€ for parking for the day, no other choice… my we won’t stay there long… fruitful business!!!

How can you spend your vacation or part of your vacation in a place like this?!!

There are many other places in Corfu!
Don't waste your time!!!

Definitely no big deal.
The water is very cloudy and very cold. The beach is practically non-existent and getting there is also quite dangerous since the stairs to get there are unsafe and half broken. My partner and I stayed half a day, after which it had become so crowded due to the limited space available that you are obliged to leave. There are many areas for diving and also of different difficulty, but all in all in hindsight I would have avoided going there to devote time to something else. The only beautiful thing is swimming through the cave.

After reading the previous reviews I felt I had to write my own as it was so unjust.
The Canal D Amour is an area of natural beauty. There are various bays to look at with interesting rock formations in the sea. If you don’t take the time to explore then yes, you may only see the small strip of beach on which to sunbathe. Look to the local beach bar what a lovely place to eat reasonably priced food of very high quality then check out the area on the cliffs to sunbathe on and the other beaches and shallow caves, all with stunning views. Yes, there aren’t concrete pavements everywhere just normal pavement.

I honestly feel some people should stay in their built up cities and leave beautiful areas like the Canal D Amour for those of us who appreciate natural beauty. Oh and the nearby Sidari strip is only a 10 minute walk away for a lively night if that’s what you want to do all good in small measure.

We were staying near corfu town and were told we had to visit the canal d'amour and Sidari. We were told it was a great place for rock jumping (something we, as a family are very keen on. After the 1 hour long trek on the windy roads of corfu we arrived and really struggled to park and they charged us a lot of money to park. After a relatively long hot walk we arrived and were disappointed. There was a tiny beach packed full of people, the water was grimy and not clear like any other beach in Corfu. The walk down to the water was on slippery stairs with broken bits. It was relatively cool to swim through the cave but the water was freeeeeezing and there were a lot of people. After swimming away from the crowds we tried to do some cliff jumping but the rocks were way to slippy and you couldn't get high as it it was dangerous.

Overall I would suggest not going here and going to any other beach (palaiokasrista was our favourite) and heading in to corfu town for better shopping.

Beautiful spot but only for photos. The sea is nothing special.
Mass tourism.
It is also unacceptable that there is no public parking space without payment!!! We were indicated in a narrow where there were 2 signs... from afar said free parking k near 2nd sign: only for customers!!
The unacceptable of the case is that there was a narrow road that ended in the sea and some gentlemen with a chain on payment made the road private parking!!!!I doubt if he had a permit for this...
Unfortunately, all about the money...

Beautiful sea, especially going out towards the end of the canal, beautiful cave and clay, easy to reach (parking is nearby and costs €5) but definitely too crowded.
The beach is very small but this doesn't stop people from putting their things in any crevice, if you lie down on your back you risk having the umbrella stuck in your asshole..., the end of your towel will be the beginning of the The only folded towel that a Greek family of four will sit on. Even the cliff part becomes impassable. Living spaces are reduced to a minimum, entrances should be limited.
Tip: go in the morning before 10am and bring a few extra towels to carve out some living space, take up as much space as possible because I assure you that they will get into any centimeter of sand that they find free.

My partner and I visited Canal d’Amour in Sidari during our trip to Corfu in 2024, and it was a truly memorable experience. Natural beauty of the rock formations and the crystal-clear turquoise waters were breathtaking. We loved the romantic legend behind the canal, & swimming through it together felt special. The area is well-maintained, and there are plenty of spots to relax and take in the views. The only reason we’re giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it can get a bit crowded during peak hours, which slightly took away from the tranquility. Still, it’s a must-visit for couples looking for a unique and romantic spot in corfu!
