Very bad service

One can get a pelgrim certificate here.
When we gave ours, we did not get all back!!!
This being one of the most important documents when doing the Camino.

When I went back with a new one, they again made a mistake.

They clearly hire mentality handicapped personal.

Pelgrims be ware, the devil is lurking😉

Refused to give pilgrims halway certificate
May 2019 • Couples
We called and asked if they were open on Sunday in order to get the midway certificate for pilgrims walking the Camino for three of us and the women on the phone told us they were open until 8pm. We arrived at 7:46pm and the doors were still open, so we walked in and were greeted by a women who said that she never spoke to us on the phone, and that we had wrong information, and that there was no time for us. We really wanted the half way certificate as we have walked from France and wore turned away by one minute or refusal to do the job. Quite disappointing.

A must do for any peregrino!
Mar 2019 • Solo
By visiting this beautiful place, and presenting your credentials, a peregrino/peregrina will qualify for a halfway certificate which is a beautiful document and probably more aesthetically pleasing than the Compostela you will receive in Santiago. The staff are very helpful and the exhibits are wonderful. Enjoy!

Interesting museum/half way certificate
Apr 2018 • Solo
This museum that has a modest entry charge of a few Euros issues a "halfway" certificate as Sahagun is half way along the Camino Frances between St Jean Pied de Port/Roncesvalles and Santiago de Compostela. Located leaving town on the left.

A must stop just off the Camino
Oct 2017 • Couples
A bit off the Camino but very special. This convent was made a national monument in 1931 and has many modern museum touches. Construction on it began in 1260 and was completed in 1358. The principal statue here is that of La Divina Peregrina – Our Lady of the Refuge. It arrived here in 1688. The legend of the sanctuary is an interesting one – A very tired pilgrim kept wanting to stop his Camino. But the vision of Our Lady kept appearing to him to continue. People though he was crazy. When he got here, he saw the statue, and it was exactly the same as the vision he kept seeing – another wonderful Camino story. The Santuario gives you a certificate for completing half the Camino for a few euros (Carta Peregrina).

Unimpressed
Oct 2016 • Couples
An austere looking building with not a great deal to see inside. There has been restoration but nil currently.
3€'for adults & 2€ for OAPs. No leaflets in English. No signage in English. Information was given by the ticket lady who was extremely pleasant and pointed out important features before letting us loose to photograph.
Can't say it would appear on any must see list but we did get our free certificate as 1/2 way along the Route de Santiago.

Well worth a visit!

On the edge of town, for a nominal cost, entry to this church comes with a rather impressive Perigrino half way on the Camino certificate. But there's more! We also experienced a fabulous sculpture exhibit and a rare phtographic exhibit of the Spanish Civil War. Be aware that opening hours are limited
