I stayed here while passing through Carrión walking the Camino Frances. The courtyard is beautiful and the albergue itself is quaint and comfortable. Each room has about three non-bunk beds. Bathrooms are all single room with a toilet and shower. There is a kitchen for pilgrims to use equipped with pots, a working stove, and dishes and silverware. The monastery offers mass at 9:30am.

This ancient monastery of enclosed nuns has a little tour through what once was the visiting parlors, showing off the convent treasures. The sisters are famous for their collection of "Belens," miniature scenes of Christ's nativity -- they have hundreds, from all over the world. Most interesting to me, however, is the space itself -- the "turns" where nuns could do business with outsiders without being seen; the splendid sunny chapel with its tolling bells, the courtyard where pilgrims are welcomed by a surly employee. (I don't recommend the pilgrim lodging.) The convent is worth a visit, and the museum is a must-see for fans of miniatures and mangers!

We stayed here one night in May 2015. Very good reception and instruction to our room. Spotless with lovely embossed towels and fresh soaps.
Do make a visit to the Museum in the courtyard, amazing, also visit the adjacent Church. Time it for when the Nuns are saying their evening prayers, haunting effect of the chant..
