Es el único edificio románico de carácter civil existente en Navarra. Se trata de un edificio románico construido en la segunda mitad del siglo XII, situado en la plaza de San Martín y haciendo esquina con la calle de San Nicolás, antigua entrada de peregrinos. El elemento más significativo es la fachada principal, situada frente a la escalinata de San Pedro de la Rúa. Desde el 14 de junio de 1991 aloja el museo del pintor Gustavo de Maeztu. Las salas del museo están distribuidas en los dos últimos pisos del edificio y albergan cuadros, dibujos, litografías y otras piezas de este pintor, uno de los más importantes de la llamada "Escuela Vasca".

Tiene una fachada provocada, en la columna de la izquierda, capiteles con el combate entre Roldán y el gigante islámico Ferragut. Torres y galería de ladrillo.
En el interior un Museo que por obras está cerrado.

Muy pocos placios de factura románica han llegado hasta nosotros. Este posee además el atractivo adicional del capitel decorado con el legendario combate del paladín Roldán contra el gigante Ferragut.

Avant de vous rendre au "palacio", il faut savoir que c'est le nom que les habitants attribuaient à cette belle demeure en espérant qu'un jour..., un roi de NAVARRE viendrait y séjourner : ce ne fut jamais le cas ! encore moins y habiter. Une plaque sur la gauche de la porte d'entrée confirme cette supercherie. Nous visitons gratuitement une belle demeure qui abrite une collection de peintures d'un peintre local.
Y a donc comme un problème sur le nom

Se trata del único edificio civil románico de Navarra, actualmente un museo que acoge una gran parte de la obra del pintor Gustavo de Maetzu. En el exterior en una esquina destacan los capiteles que representan la lucha entre el gigante musulmán Ferragut y Roldán (sobrino de Carlomagno).

Precioso, bien restaurado y conservado, merece la pena visitarlo.
Alberga exposición permanente del pintor Gustavo de Maeztu y otras exposiciones temporales muy interesantes

Aunque era una residencia menor (solo para verano) de los reyes de navarra. La arquitectura realizada en este edificio tiene unos vestigios de elegancia y sencilled ala vez muy pero que muy bonito.
Sin olvidarnos que lo que aloja en su interior es el museo de Gustavo de Maestu (muy interesante pero eso en otra critica)

Cerca de la Iglesia de San Pedro de la Rua, es el edificio mas importante de la arquitectura civil de Navarra, no lo pudimos visitar por dentro pero por fuera es muy bonito

Sehr schöne romanische Fassade, in einem romantischen Gässchen, gegenüber der tollen Kirche San Pedro. Zwei Etagen, in Quadern gebaut, zweistöckig. Die dritte Etage aus Backstein. Beherbergt eine Ausstellung eines baskischen Malers.

De fait plus un musée de peinture qu'un lieu évoquant le séjour des seigneurs de Navarre.
Le bâtiment est sobre et n'offre que peu de jolies vues de l'extérieur.
Musée consacré à un peintre basque apprécié localement. À vous de voir...À le mérite d'être gratuit
