My husband and I (aged 86 and 72) contacted Aroha Tours early this year with a view to doing an upper SI trip. Owner, Veronika, visited us and we talked about the sorts of things we like doing and 24 hours later a draft itinerary arrived with options at each stage of where to stay and what to do. She met us at Nelson airport with a luxury Mercedes vehicle and so began a wonderful experience. Some of the places we went we would not have found on our own and there was flexibility each day depending on our energy levels. Veronika's pleasant, warm personality and efficiency made the trip seamless and extremely enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she was completely relaxed about changes in plans as we went. We will do more trips with Aroha Tours, and while at the higher end price-wise, it was fantastic value for money.

It was such a pleasure to tour with you both. I found it quite inspirational to accompany someone from New Zealand that at this age still travels the world (and NZ)

We would like to thank you for the wonderful experience you have arranged for us, which was a trip with teenagers full of activities, carefully tailored to our needs.
The company, especially Veronica - was able to apply the necessary flexibility according to our specific needs during this trip, while taking care of all other details including transportation, accommodation, attractions and domestic flights as well.

My family and I took a 2 week trip of the Southern Islands with Aroha Tours and it has been one of the best ever, thanks to Aroha. Not only did they develop a wonderful itinerary in consultation with us but their recommendations on choice of accommodation, activities and places to visit was impeccable and that made the entire trip memorable.
New Zealand is an incredibly beautiful place and while it is possible to drive around on your own, engaging the services of a company like Aroha who know all the little gems will take it up several notches. With them executing the itinerary all you need to then do is relax and soak it all in. It is incredibly worthwhile.

my wife and I are experienced travelers and like to travel either solo or solo with a guide. We definitely like to find unique experiences off the beaten path. We were interested in learning a lot more about NZ wines. And we had heard about the beautiful lodges scattered across the country. Veronika and her staff, with our input, were able to create an individualized program that took us across both the North and South Island and let us experience the wonders of New Zealand and its amazing and friendly people. We had one guide/driver for our entire trip--Jurgen who was a joy to spend time with and fountain of useful information. In any trip of this length and complexity, little things pop up. They are all promptly addressed. I would highly recommend Aroha Tours as an operator if you want an upscale and personalized trip to a wonderful country.

The least we could do is sharing our feedback for the organizer (Aroha Tours) of our greatest family vacation ever.
The memories we treasured are priceless and still it’s the mutual subject in our family (6 members Agee’s from 5 to 45 years) gatherings.
The service throughout the trip (10+ days) always exceeded our expectations. The tour was well detailed by day and by the hour. The conveniency and luxury level was spot on. Personal attention and continues follow ups revealed care and dedication.
Vorinika and the team (including private tour) have made it the BEST trip.
We will never hesitate to ask Aroha Tours to organize our 2ns trip to Kiwi land as soon it opens.

I remember not being your guide. You had Steve looking after you. But I had a chance to enjoy dinner with your family in Rotorua. I always love to learn about our visitor's different cultures; It was beautiful for me to connect with a great family from Saudi Arabia. I will try to make more great memories for you if you ever come back to NZ.

My partner & I traveled twice to New Zealand and had the most amazing experience with Veronika as our personal guide. She planned every day perfectly from beautiful unique lodges, fabulous meals and magnificent tours that were personalized to our specific tastes. Veronika is knowledgeable, fun to be with and loved by all the locals. We felt like we were with friends rather than tourists. We have traveled over much of the world and can honestly say New Zealand is our favorite and Veronika is the most special personal guide we have ever had. She will plan a trip you will remember forever.

We were two couples touring North Island for a week (in February 2020) starting in Wellington and ending up in Auckland. We had a marvelous and memorable time. Veronika was a perfect guide, who had selected every activity as well as every accommodation perfectly fitting our wishes, intentions, and abilities. We highly recommend Aroha for everybody looking for a private and individualized exploration of New Zealand. Whenever we come back to New Zealand Aroha will be our first and only choice!

My husband I have just returned from a fabulous month spent in New Zealand touring both islands with Veronika's company and Jürgen, our excellent guide. This was for my long awaited Sabbatical, so my expectations were very high as I have been planning the trip for the last 12 months with Veronika.
I am pleased to say that what Veronika and my guide organised was beyond my expectations. Jürgen and Veronika took care of everything from activities like nature treks and boat cruises to delicious dinners and winery tours and tastings and even our snacks so we dont starve between meals! The lodges that Veronika booked were each unique and allowed us to meet some amazing people who are ready to share their stunning homes with carefully selected visitors. It was not just an incredible experience to discover and enjoy varied and stunning New Zealand landscapes, but allowed my husband and I to have a very personal experience that was unique and memorable.
If anyone is looking for a carefree experience in New Zealand and highly professional company that really wants your visit to be unforgettable for the right reasons, then I would highly recommend you to go with Veronika and her highly professional team. The cost of the guide is worth every penny/cent by the way.

My party of 4 spent about 9 days with Aroha Tours. Our experience could not have been better. Veronika planned a once-in-a-lifetime custom itinerary for us on the South Island. Communication with Veronika was easy, the transfers were seamless, the accommodations were fantastic, and our guide was the friendliest, most knowledgeable person imaginable. We had a truly memorable trip. I would not hesitate to work with Veronika and her team again. We recommend Aroha Tours highly!

We took a 2 week North and South Island tour in February 2020 for my wife's birthday. We were lucky that we were able to experience NZ before Covid arrived in force. Veronika created an amazing itinerary on short notice that included stops that were off the beaten path - just what we were looking for! Everything was taken care of, our driver was fun and accommodating and it was truly a memorable vacation. We never would have thought to stay at some of the places Veronika found for us. We will never forget what the night sky looked like! Highly recommend booking your NZ vacation with Aroha!
