The village looks like the front of an old fashioned chocolate box. Very traditional and obviously well kept. The history of the village is interesting and it offered a useful insight into the traditional produce of Normandy. The locals and shop keepers are polite and...More

We visited on a wet Tuesday at the end of May and everything but the Tourist Information and the Tabac was closed. A lovely young lady in the tourist office did her best but even she couldn't open shops or restaurants. We managed to buy...More

Although we visited the first days of September, we found most shops and restaurants already closed. Still, the town was lovely and worth a quick walk through if in the area. We did find one restaurant open for lunch and were treated very friendly.

One tiny street that is only here for tourists to pass through but strangely lacks customer service. It's on the "cidre route" but the shops don't even offer samples and store owners don't pro-offer information.

This is a beautiful village. However, do not Visit the creperie place. The staff is rude and awful. Do not waiste your time and money. I met friends in the village and the owner in the restaurant shouted at me because I put my coffee...More

The creperie/ pizza place won't allow you to take a table for coffee, saying they are saving their tables for lunchtime, despite the fact there are no other customers! The awfully rude owner of the corner coffee/ bar won't come outside to take the order,...More

If you are in the area you just have to visit this beautiful little village. Your camera (or iPhone) will thank you. It’s just a handful of pretty old houses - so you also have time to gulp the damn good coffee at Café du...More

So, you're planning a jaunt around Normandy, and someone asks, "Are you planning to stop by Beuvron-en-Auge?" "Where?" you respond."No, why?" "Just go," you are told. So you re-write your itinerary, not quite knowing what to expect. What you get is a spectacularly beautiful village,...More

This is a cute little town trying to reinvent itself as a classy tourist trap. It succeeds. Worth a stop for some pictures of the buildings and a bit of higher end shopping. But you can pass by without stopping just as well.

Part of Les Plus Beaux Villages associations and it shows. With only 233 inhabitants, it is small, but perfectly formed. Well worth a visit, especially for lunch to make the most of it.
