At the very gates of Bordeaux, the Cru Bourgeois, Chateau Saint Ahon will welcome you warmly in a delightful setting, Best of Or Wine Tourism 2013. Property of Charles de Montesquieu in the 18th century, the castle is now listed as a "Remarkable Monument". Chateau Saint Ahon was destroyed during the French Revolution. It was reconstructed during the First Empire and restored in 1875 in Louis XIII's style. We propose you a lot of activities: a wine and gourmets products shop, guided tour and wine tasting,a fun promenade Les Jardins de Mirabel, 3 gites, a reception room and camping-car area.

We all had a great day here, we followed the trail and completed the activity sheets and then finished the visit by trying the beautiful wines they produce here. Staff were very friendly and spoke great English.

We spent more than two hours in this lovely place. Kids liked the horses, ducks, we appreciated learning more about the wine in the area and tasted it of course :). Thanks to the nice people working there.More

We had a very warm welcome at the chateau. We visited with our two young sons (8 and 6) who enjoyed looking for Meribel.

Very friendly team, knowledgeable, and good wine. The wine Trail is cool, we learned a lot about wine making process. The wine store has a bunch of different things we did not see before, unexpensive. Nice visit very close to downtown Bordeaux !

Chateau Saint Ahon is a small winery with production of c.120,000 bottles p.a. It was good for us to visit this winery, as well as a larger one just outside Pessac. The tour was great; they clearly have a great passion for what they're doing....More
