We came here on a cold, yet sunny winter's day by suggestion of friends, who have already been here. Of course, in winter the aromas are somewhat limited, but the owners still took us around and showed us everything. Didn't know there were so many different sage, peppermint and geranium varieties! It literally opened our nose and with it all... More

If all you want to do is see the place where they film “Il Commissario Montalbano,” then go to Scicli, spend a few hours and leave. But if you really and truly want to experience what this region has to offer, you must—repeat must—meet Enrico Russino and tour his sprawling farm called Gli Aromi. Chances are you have never thought... More

We drove to this herb farm today from scicli and found a warm greeting from Enrico. We had not booked a tour but I would highly suggest doing so! Luckily he had some time to share with us and we got to touch and smell the fruits of his labor. Worth the small drive. Do not miss this.

We turned up late on a November afternoon, finding the farm tucked away in the stony lanes near Scicli. We were greeted by name! Not realising the significance of having dined the previous evening at Satra in Scicli, we were met at the herb farm by Satra's chef, who is Enrico's (proprietor of Gli Aromi) fianceé! Once the introductions had... More

This is an amazing place to visit. The tour by Enrico was informative and enjoyable. I would recommend it as excellent place to visit when in southern Sicily.

The site is near Scicli on the road to Sampieri. Well worth the effort as this large family run herb farm has so much to offer. Enrico is a passionate plantsman who gave us a great welcome and taught us so much in a space of 2 hours. One could buy a range of herbs and allied natural local products.... More

I've been to Gli Aromi several times to purchase plants for my Sicilian garden. Enrico is a trained horticulturalist and can recommend plants for all types of gardens. However, he also plans amazing events which deal with tours of the gardens and food tastings. Some times there is even music at the gardens. You can purchase herbs and other products... More
