Pleasant enough tower built in 1816 next to the wheat loggia not to mention a canal which comes to an end at the feet of the tower.

The civic clock tower in central Comacchio cannot be missed and is located in the Via Ugo Bassi next to the Wheat Loggia.
The current tower was built in the beginning of the 19th century on top of the remains of the destroyed original version of the 14th century.
The tower is made of brickwork, on top of a parapet of marble stone.
In the semicircular niche a Madonna with Child dating back to 1600s has been inserted.
A mechanical clock was added in 1872.
In fact, it's a landmark in Comacchio and it indicates the time.

Learn the history of this tower and enjoy the beauty of it as you walk along the canals and over the bridges. This place has the beauty of Venice without the crowds and costs.

With its elegance it stands out over the city and has become one of the most photographed spots. It is located next to the wheat loggia (Bar Spider).
